Lacking in content -- it is a demo, after all -- but what's here is very good. Loving the magic def (shield) mechanic and how it's actually reasonable to trade HP for progress/powerups here and there. Very much looking forward to further content and the eventual full release.
I would complain about the Bloody Bat but it was nerfed already.

Didn't expect much, but I was proven wrong apparently. Though, judging from demo, it feels more like NAMTG remake rather than a sequel, especially since some of the enemies were copypasted straight from the first game, and there wasn't any post NAMTG1 lore (though it doesn't matter for demo, I just want to make sure the creators won't forget about it). Also no proper boss at the end kind of ruins a demo showcase.
Btw NAMTG1 update when???

Very cool and has me excited for the future.
What I liked:
+ No hidden doors - I love there aren't any. In my opinion all hidden doors do is force you to use a guide instead of playing organically.
+ Magic def stat - Adds an additional layer of complexity to the routing of the game in the best of ways. It acting as a small shield during combat is cool too.
+ Routing on start feels much better. The no "Do a super-F to begin the game" is a welcome change.
+ Mobs - they felt more polished and the battles were really fun to play.
What i didn't like as much:
- Patrol mechanics - I feel like patrols in a game like this serve no purpose other than to be annoying. You either ignore them or fuck with their mechanics to go around them, neither of which adds any fun and instead kind of ruins the flow in my opinion.
- A bit too generous with keys ? Playing demo 2 felt pretty hard, but after completing I was left over with 10 brown + 4 blue + 2 red keys, which felt like way too much and means I could've been much more liberal with my key usage.
All in all I can't wait for future updates, really really really good stuff. Especially looking forward to see how the shop plays out as well as the bosses.
