I've just finished both the original and this buffed version and oh boy was it buffed. I deliberately took screenshots of the same as the original, so when they get uploaded the differences can be checked easily.
Regarding the buffs, the pathing wasn't changed, just added spikes. Extra corners, add in a plane or two, add some bullshit drops (especially on the last screen, which I did with a jump cancel) and you get the game.
As mentioned by Kilgour22, it actually has two vine jumps that require to preserve your double jump. Just checked on youtube, someone did the first one by low jumping, then skipping the vine altogether, which results in a pretty hard jump, but not impossible. However, for the second jump, poor guy got stuck for an hour, because you actually need to do it correctly. So how is it done? I did both jumps by jump cancelling into the vine while holding the jump button, which then allows to jump from the vine.
Save difficulty was all over the place, the first few screens are a piece of cake, then comes the green stage with the vines, which I think is the hardest stage. Except for the very last screen, the second red screen, featuring a shit drop, that I did with a jump cancel, and the very last jump of the screen being, kind of a double jump upward plane choke point city.
Maybe recommended if you have nothing to play, or just play the original.

Has a mandatory low-jump onto a vine while preserving your double jump. Since I don't know how to do that, I savehacked past it. Everything else I cleared without assistance.
Very volatile save and jump difficulty. Since I didn't play the easier version I can't really comment on what changes were made, but it's clearly much harder than the apparent 50 difficulty of the easier version. Jumps are generally rather precise, sometimes in a generic way and sometimes uniquely. Canceling helped a lot on some saves, especially in the middle and near the end of the game.
It's not worth playing if you're not skilled enough to beat it quickly.
