Very creative and ambitious attempt to recreate a music video into an avoidance. The concept works super well, and looks very cool. I had a lot of fun learning everything, it's not really chaotic so learning it didn't take so long.

Two things can be improved imo, first is the transitions. There are some transitions that have to be 100% memorized, since the boxes are far away and the moves need to be very fast. Personally it was a bit annoying to get hit to those, the gameplay feels a bit out of place in those transitions. Second is the RNG, it's quite easy to get walled since the boxes are small. However I think it's fair enough to keep the avoidance challenging.

An incredible avoidance made for the Cactus Cup, featuring the song "Wavetapper" by Frums, also built around the music video of that song. Since that song was divided into 16 cubes each playing a different part of the song, here the screen is divided up into 16 squares, each with their own attack. You get teleported around the room to a different attack as more squares get added, and the game actually stores your inputs and replays them on the squares you've already passed, which is an amazing detail.
As for the attacks themselves, they're a lot of fun for the most part. The game comes up with some cool attack ideas for some of the squares, even if it does resort to generic attacks like bouncing some of the time. They fit the mood of the song super well, not to mention being fun to play in their own right. It does require a bit of learning, especially since the harder patterns are delegated to purple and ruby, which are closer to the end of the fight. Not to worry though, the game gives you HP by default, letting you practice the later parts with no issue and making the game super accessible to anyone. You do still need to beat the game hitless for it to count though, which is what this rating is based on. RNG is an issue sometimes too, but it was rare enough that I didn't mind it. One actual problem I did notice, though, is that a memory leak started happening after a while, causing the end of the fight to slow down a lot. Restarting the game fixed this, but it's still something to watch out for.

I'm not sure what the actual results of the Cactus Cup were, but I wouldn't be surprised if this ended up placing higher up in the standings. Super fun and innovative avoidance, recommended to basically anyone.

Although it's very innovative, it depends on luck.
