no clue what people see in this game that’s so fun. I just see irritating, random precision needle with music I don’t enjoy on top of a tileset that isn’t very nice. all the jumps sorta work poorly and require strange stutters, weird valigns and odd align grabs. there are some interesting ideas, sure, but they are so shortlived and get old fast. the game also overstays its welcome and feels like it drones on for a while. I thought it’d be right up my alley, as the provided screenshot looked actually somewhat unique and interesting. to my disappointment, it wasn’t very fun at all. I think my positive expectations greatly scathed my opinion of this game, which is unfortunate but I can’t really change how I feel now. I don’t even necessarily believe the game is that bad up until the final save. the final save is by far the least fun part of the game. without it the game would be a lot easier and a lot better
there’s a funny idea here, where you make 5 precise jumps and space them out over several long, painful screens you have to walk through each time you want to reach the next jump. it’s painfully boring and the jumps sort of suck in the first place. the first jump (the one after the arrow screen) is just a frame perfect dj fj which isn’t very hard. after walking for a while you then reach some AIDS 14f/13f followed by a 3f/4f which is really annoying to do. to set it up, you have to count 5 steps each time and then do the precise inputs required. you could also just eyeball the jump if you’re a god, but I’m not so I tend to set it up each time. this, of course, takes seconds to do, and therefore adds more inessential, entirely unrequired waiting. the jump after it is another frame perect dj fj, but what’s more important is the last jump. it’s more like 3 jumps or something. it’s a bunch of weird cherry jumps with a required apple align being the easiest strat. this is all very boring and I don’t know why it was put in the game. it’s a huge timewaster and I see no purpose in it

I personally think this qualifies as precision needle, as the saves are typically shorter than regular needle butterfly-like saves. there are some pretty fun movements and the game generally looks nice. there’s some reliance on squished jumps (i.e. squished diagonals) but it’s nothing crazy. cancelling will make this game considerably easier, as some difficult lowjumps are required. I will admit, since it’s a needle butterfly-like I have a clear bias towards it. I simply really enjoy this genre of needle. the one-jump rooms are nothing special but the latter one is more interesting for sure
