an engine based on yosniper's better-er engine. the main differences between this and regular yosniper engine are the use of fmod for music and sound effects, different physics and collisions that resemble standard physics more, and a simple options menu. it's a nice engine

Generally fun and distinctive needle game, although there are some moments where the focus on pathing and unique structures creates awkward contouring and unintuitive jumps.
Be aware that the latest version (1.2 at time of writing) has buffed many saves in some unpleasant ways, which ends up negatively affecting the game's balance. The save I had the most trouble with by far was in the first stage, which I thought was odd given the reviews, so I looked up a previous version on youtube, and lo and behold, it had been mega-buffed. After that, every time I reached a spiky save, I checked the video, and likely as not it had been buffed. I would almost recommend anyone wanting to play this game to seek out a previous version for a smoother experience, which is unfortunate, since the maker seems to have put a lot of effort into this update. The game is still fun and worth playing regardless.

Quirky solid shape shenanigans with lots of fun creatures. Avoidance at the end is short but fun; does seem a bit harder than most of the platforming. Really charming.

If this really is a first game then wow it is very impressive. Platforming is simple but fun, but the game just really shines a lot visually, with lots of fun variety. The final boss is super inspired by Gustav and it is just a lot of fun, as it understands that adrenaline value that Gustav likes doing a lot, always being on the lookout to react to whatever attack comes next.
