in my wholesome opinion, this game is overrated and I frankly don't get the hype around it. sure the atmosphere is nice and the needle is something I can get behind and enjoy, the music is nice too, but it's nothing too special. definitely a memorable game, but isn't really anything I'd recommend so highly as some people in the reviews here would.
the needle itself is nothing too interesting, with one fairly simple and short precision area that was somewhat more fun, however quite easy - as I first tried a good chunk of the saves in said area. the other consistency needle screens are sometimes flawed - as they have some odd choke-ish jumps. these, realistically speaking, aren't that hard but still leave somewhat of a bad taste in your mouth.
needle doesn't have to be interesting to be fun, it can just be plain and simple fun, which this game accomplishes to some degree

Simple but fun attacks, the attacks aren't really boring which makes this avoidance feel good to play. It seems like a cool challenge for newer players aswell that want to try barrage-type of avoidance.

I don't like this as much as compass, because 1. it's kinda repetitive. It does the same thing for over 10 seconds in like 2 attacks, and you have to learn two different paths in one of those. I didn't find it fun honestly, it was just tedious. 2. Some parts are way too precise for no reason. It harmed the enjoyment a lot. 3. Final, I died there 13 times, and 6 of them was on the last jump, it's very luck based and as I always say no one likes dying to the end, let alone constantly doing that.
I still think it's good, but it should've been better.

A short fangame with a neat quadruple jump gimmick, even if the platforming it's attached to isn't the best designed thing in the world. I also like the retro feel that the game has to it, and the boss does actually make better use of the quadruple jump mechanic than the rest of the game did. Overall a fun game, even if not perfect, meaning a moderate recommendation from me.
