Some stages are very well-designed, while also somes are not enjoyable.
Complaints are that some saves are not balanced, and that death effect causes lagging, and that 'z' key triggers saving even though you changed keyboard setting which means if you set jump to 'z' and shoot to 'c', you will trigger saving everytime you jump near a save.

stage 2: 8.8
stage 3: 5.5
stage 4: 5.9
stage 5: 8.5

stage 7: 8.4

Nebulous Thoughts offers a truly unique and captivating experience, evoking emotions rarely felt in fangames. Its sublime gameplay revolves around inventive gimmicks that continuously find ways to renew themselves, ensuring the saves never feel repetitive or mundane. However, the game does have some instances of flawed level design, notably the shoot-required jump cancels in the latter part of stage 2, which can be inconsistent.
The game's save balancing can be quite odd at times, starting with a relatively challenging difficulty and then easing up significantly once stage 5 is reached, before increasing the challenge again in subsequent stages. While this balancing didn't particularly bother me, I can totally get how some people might find it annoying.
Regarding the soundtrack, I'm not a huge fan of music with lyrics in fangames, but it surprisingly complements the gameplay exceptionally well, with the exception of the one in stage 2, which seems totally out of context.
Despite its minor flaws, Nebulous Thoughts is undeniably worth playing for any experimented needle enthusiast, seeking a fun and unique experience.
