Played through this game up to the final stage a while back and have to say I really enjoyed it up to there. Fairly challenging needle with a lot of weird pathing and jump sequences, but I found it engaging and creative for the most part. If it had ended after the first 45 screens, I would probably give it a pretty high score!
But it didn't, and instead I was subjected to the frankly nightmarish design of Irkara's stage. Like, I'm not a great needle player, and I already beat Irkara Needle once -- I just really didn't feel like doing it again. Needle of that difficulty was not what I signed up for with this game, and there was no indication from any of the previous screens it would ever reach this level. After spending hours on the first screen, I gave up and just shelved the game permanently. It wasn't worth it.
I think there's a time and place for needle design of this level of difficulty, but this game just wasn't it. While I enjoyed the rest of the game more than they did, the developers would do well to take Yiaz's review to heart. The final stage is simply too much of a departure from the rest of the game, and isn't even fun to play in the process. I really think the creators should release an updated version that nerfs or removes Irkara's stage entirely, or at least relegates it to an extra stage after the clear screen. There was clearly a lot of work put into this game and it sucks to have it go to waste because of the final stage.
I'd give stages 1-9 an 8.0/70-75. The final stage, I don't really know, refer to people better at needle than me for how to rate it.
