Continuity is a huge mixed bag of a needle/puzzle game. I think a lot of the issues come from the game having trouble deciding what it wants to be. The puzzles have too many hard needle jumps, and thus become a frustrating slog. Even the most puzzley stage, Walk the Ceiling had several screens that were pure needle, without any puzzle. The game seems to want to be a puzzle game, but the puzzle elements are just slapped in haphazardly, and wind up being to the game's detriment. If you're not someone who cares about clearing the game, I would recommend playing Walk the Ceiling and White Dot, and skipping NANG and Co-op
White Dot is probably the best stage, and I think this is because it avoids puzzles altogether, being just pure needle (with some minor routing). It avoids the pitfalls that some of the other stages have, namely being slow, and is just overall pretty cool needle.
Walk the Ceiling is my second favorite stage. It's the most puzzley, and has a few pure puzzle rooms that were probably the best outcomes of the game's decision to have puzzle elements. However, it still has some frustrating needle jumps in those puzzles, and it can become a slog to go through a bunch of puzzle steps and then die to needle.
Co-op was alright, however I ultimately didn't like it. It could have been a pretty good stage, but the bomb gimmick is unwieldy, and worse, the candy cane gimmick is far to slow. It ends up being a lot of waiting on candy canes before getting to a difficult jump. Also, with the amount of precision teleporting, there really should be an indicator of teleport destination.
NANG was by far the worst stage, and unfortunately I played it first so it kind of soured my experience with the rest of the game. It's far too difficult for what it is, and that difficulty comes in the form of annoying precision, and long saves that again are turned into slogs by the attempts at puzzle-pathing. Furthermore, the visual effect here is really overwrought, and winds up being an annoying distraction.
Overall, I would recommend half of this game. But if you (like most players) prefer to play games you will clear, I would recommend skipping this one.
