Honestly an incredible game. Every stage was enjoyable, and they each presented many unique ideas which are executed wonderfully. The visuals are also stunning and provide a unique theme and an incredible amount of atmosphere to each area of the game. The addition of an easy mode is also really nice as it adds accessibility for newer players. I also beat the extra stage (which I am not including with this rating) and though it was not as good I do not think it takes away from the overall experience. I implore everyone to play this game at one point or another. Amazing work kg and blender!

For: Invincible Alien

Alien is in some ways a paradoxical game, in order to have fun with it you can't really take it too seriously because it's just so unfair, but you also need to care at least somewhat about the game to beat it due to it's very high difficulty. It's a very unique experience, one which will probably make you at some point question if it's even worth it to keep playing. There's a lot of things that are incredibly dubious about this game, almost all of the RNG is unbalanced and can give ridiculous scenarios, and the difficulty balance is terrible, the end of the fight has the hardest, learniest, and most luck based attacks. In spite of this the game does actually test your skills a lot, while it's unfair, most scenarios are still manageable, (with the exception of meteors) so there is a lot of room to improve and gain consistency. This game will turn into a war of attrition, meaning the best thing you can do is build up as much consistency as possible to give yourself tons of chances to clear, and this is a very rewarding experience and leads to the game having a very enjoyable learning curve. I also think the way the game is unfair is very entertaining because it's so blatant, some attacks are very clearly designed to be how they are which makes it very hard for me to be upset at getting walled or sniped. These drawbacks are not gonna be something everyone can look past and the games lack of balance can definitely lead to it feeling boring, but for me personally, Alien is an extremely fun game. It's a terrible avoidance but manages to be one of my absolute favorites, which in it's own right is an impressive feat.
