I thought most of the game was alright, thought there were definitely some unenjoyable segments as well. The last save in particular was kind of just obnoxious, though it wasn't the hardest one it was definitely a floor 92 moment. The visuals are especially good though so shoutouts to the guest creator for them (egg).

Heaventrap 2 is a bonafide Adventure game by Carnival that acts as a sequel to the first game. Whereas in the previous one it was your job to defeat the rulers of Hell, it is now time to challenge the Heavens and bring God crashing down from the sky.
A big emphasis in this game comes from referencing dozens of other fangames, even including Fangame! itself. A lot of these references get made, such as Crimson or GB, and you can see that this really feels like Carnival's love letter to the community at the time. There are 3 main paths to take at the start, all of which end with a boss and then a short bit of platforming to return to the hub. Afterwards you then proceed through a straight path to the ending, which you'll first have to conquer a cherry boss and an avoidance to reach. The game concludes by having you battle an angel guarding the path to Heaven, and then of course with a final showdown against the great deity himself.
For the most part, I thought the game was pretty enjoyable, it has a lot of passion poured into it and some pretty enjoyable moments. I did take away a couple of issues from it, such as a Taiko stage segment which was the hardest of the main huh stages, a post-boss trap that was funny but also saddening, as well as a bit of disappointment in how homogenously boring the avoidance was. That last one in particular sort of struck me down since it also had randomized colors for cherries, which became a problem when it mixed bursts with bouncing and you can't tell them apart easily since they aren't color-coded. Besides these aspects I had a lot of fun, it's definitely one of Carnival's good games.
Would definitely recommend it if you like adventure games.

This is what I think of all the Hardships.
They are pretty fun beginner games that can be used for easing into needle.
This one was pretty to play and is one of my favorites of the Hardships.
But they do feel forgettable for how short they are.
So I wouldn't call these games my favorites, but they are enjoyable for what they are.

Cool production value, two saves in particular were like why. last save of green stage in combination with the gimmick made it really annoying, and last save was literally do three 6fs in a row. (I had to play last save of green stage twice because the save wasn't clear for stage 3 at first. i tried shooting it, but because i was touching it and the bullet didn't, it didn't save, so i didn't figure it was a save :))

Seriously comment on +1, first of all mourn the author, because the author passed away in 2014, quite a long medley game, there are a total of five stages, the last is an original stage, the five stages are mainly needle, and there are some very Playful screens, eg: flying stabs in Kamilia 2 screen, drop in Rukito Area screen, invisible kid part in Locus, downward diagonal in Light Trap, but the screen changes less to almost nothing , which is a bit of a pity part, but the final original stage saved the game.
-Lianliankan's area is not bad, it seems that it is mainly placed in the puzzle part rather than the needle itself, but the puzzle is very clever.
-P&A's area is very good, this is a simple gimmick mixed with needle, basically put it on the needle.
-Eversion's area is definitely the best for me, but there is still a small annoying place, this area is mainly puzzle-based, mainly to collect gems, the rhythm will change according to the map,
The things that kill you also change by map, the minor annoyance is that if you die then you have to start over.
-JetKid's area is very nice, this gimmick works very well with the needle, but there are some difficult jumps, so I spent some time.
I would strongly recommend this game, the original stage is worth playing, but you need to go through five stages to play, this game is definitely very good for people who like to play medley games but don't like to fight bosses (that's me) of.

The positives: there is a TON of attacks and a lot of variety
The negatives: A lot of combinations are unfair, some attacks are by themselves honestly unreasonable, the witch's hitbox disappears once the animation happens and she can spawns inside/right next to you and instantly kill you.
Honestly I think this coud be fun but the lack of balancing makes this feel pretty disappointing, wasted opprtunity I'd say.
