This game has, if nothing else, really great atmosphere. Consistently dreamlike and with an incredibly unsettling aura, this fangame manages to bring together simple graphics and great music and sound choices to overcome some of the jankiness inherent to this style of fangame and be genuinely decently creepy. Unfortunately, I find the actual gameplay pretty underwhelming. It's not particularly challenging in terms of either the platforming or the puzzle aspects (I did get lost a couple times but it never felt like the fault of bad design, just me not thinking things through properly), and the whole thing feels overly short, with the climax feeling less like a final boss and more like a midpoint that just kinda abruptly and unceremoniously dumps you into the post-game area. There's some post-game content with collecting stuff and a couple bonus levels, but the main meat of the game feels underwhelming for what it seems to be building to. I can't recommend this highly as a platforming experience, but it's worth checking out just for the great atmosphere it builds.

Really enjoyable decently short adventure game. Pairing a memey aesthetic with fairly high production values, Chungo's Gauntlet appears to be a pretty shallow jokefest on the surface but through a mix of great execution and some pretty good (if not the most insanely creative ever) ideas it stands as a really enjoyable romp. The bosses are all unique and have good gameplay loops, the environments are varied but all have cohesive themes, and it has a good difficulty ramp leading up to the final boss gauntlet. The further in you get, the more experimental it gets, and in my opinion the more enjoyable it becomes. For those seeking a game that is easy enough to be digestible for those decently acquainted with precision platformers while still providing enough challenge to be rewarding, this is a very solid choice.

This is the first IWBTG fangame I've beaten but I have a decent amount of experience with precision platformers so this was largely quite familiar stuff. IWBTLR is a short but sweet little game, with 4 short stages and a final boss. All in all, it took me just under an hour to beat, so it's definitely not the meatiest fangame out there, but what is there is pretty good. The game starts out with a mix of trap and needle and slowly tunes towards the needle side. The design is pretty strong all around, hitting a good balance of having a little challenge (though it's very mild for a fangame) without being frustrating.

One thing I do find odd about IWBTLR is the odd difficulty curve. The second area really started to get tricky, with some pretty precise movement and a decently tough avoidance section, but the third stage was both wildly easier and significantly shorter, and the fourth area was more of the same, but then the final boss brings the difficulty back up. I can't help but think that the difficulty curve would be a lot smoother if the second and third areas were swapped and the third and fourth area were extended. As it stands, I spent at least two thirds of my time in just the second area and final boss, which felt weird.

Speaking of the final boss, it's pretty good. The design is cute, and the attacks it throws at you are fun, if unoriginal. My only problem is that some of the patterns during the first two shooting sections are just obnoxiously random. It's not too bad, but it felt like I was losing a few too many attempts to attack patterns I couldn't possibly have avoided.

All that said, IWBTLR is pretty dang fun, and I can definitely recommend it as a milder fangame well suited for beginners who want to get into the genre without picking up something balls-hard. It's not the most creative fangame out there by any means, and the difficulty curve is pretty wonky, but IWBTLR is a fun time.
