Really average old adventure-y game. Gets worse as it goes on, with the initial stages being short little adventure stages with some different stuff. Then it goes into some block needle, a super bad needle screen that has no save and a quasi-trap after it and heads into the self-medley except with overly saturated visuals. First couple bosses are alright, last two bosses are bad. Final boss actually could be okay except the attack balance was atrocious and for some reason, he gets rid of hit sounds and healthbars which were present so you have no idea what's really happening.
There are some secrets for what appears to be an extra but I missed a couple and given the progression of the game, didn't really have much reason to continue. I always felt if there were a needle graph that projected the density of gates in games, it would peak around 2014, and this one would contribute to that.
