This review is for the newest version of the game.
The older version was much more funny-bad, whereas the current version has better production value but is more bad-bad. I enjoyed how awful some segments were, and I could tell the creator tried to make something decent after having played/seen Boshy. However, a bunch of parts feel buggy or even broken such as the ladders which are hilarious in how they work (hint: not like a ladder does). The final boss is my biggest gripe with the newest version of ICONOCLAST. It is an avoidance with tons of targeting attacks and a lot of garbage. I enjoyed the game well enough until reaching that, but it becomes very much not worth grinding around 2/3 of the way through it. It also has a trap at the end (it spawns 2 warps and the one in the bottom-right is fake) for that extra cherry on top. Beating it also takes you to a tiny amount of platforming before reaching a dead end because the game was presumably never finished.
I would not recommend this game unless you don't intend to do the final avoidance.
Note: this game has "reasonable volume spiders."

Pretty sure the game wasn't finished as the ending is just a grey screen with the kid falling forever. That being said the game has semblances of ideas, but most screens are just a lot of empty space and some simple platforming with a couple easily dodged trolls that never really get excessive. There are few hints of creativity in solving puzzle-like platforming but nothing over the top. The 2 bosses are easy and unimaginative but have a few funny moments. The games worth a play if you're bored and up for a laugh. Oh and there's like 4 invisible mazes each worse then the last. One involves almost soley ledge jumps and another covers about 3 screens. The game has its charm of a maker with undecided resolve.
