A pretty enjoyable game that mixes in some needle, a short avoidance, and a final boss with all three elements. I like the visual aesthetic, it hones in the title but still has more appeal than most games do. The bosses are also pretty fun, I like how the avoidance makes you move block to block, and I enjoy the final boss having multiple segments (with checkpoints!).
I do think though it suffers from the same thing that Meltdown does when it comes to the needle, it looks interesting, but it's really just diagonals and gates and half diamonds all over the place.

Good needle, but don't really enjoy all the bosses.

A very visually comforting needle game. Every screen is very easy on the eyes, and the game really builds itself on the minimalist aesthetic. There's a good variety of jumps throughout and nothing that felt unpleasant or bumpy to play.
Having said that, I wasn't really a massive fan of the needle style for the most part. It felt like the layouts used often really restricted the needle, and it felt like there was an abundance of nerfed diagonals and minispikes. The platform usage (particularly the miniblock platforms) I thought was particularly cool and is something I'd have liked to have seen more of. The water also felt a bit clunky to me, which I imagine is the same water that Meltdown suffers from.
Still, it's a very unique needle game. Maybe that's less true now that there are more artsy and minimalist needle games than there were back in 2014, but the combination of neatly arranged needle and even a few fun bosses scattered around to break up the platforming ends up making for a fun experience.
