a hard ass needle game and a hard ass boss, iced with a hard ass secret. it's all i could ever want. on to the review.
the needle is quite damn original and the last saves are especially hard. there's also a gimmick which you can see for like 2 screens which is really well pulled off, really puzzling, and of course, really hard.
you can go for the secret, but that shit is like, L-game difficulty. i recommend it if you wanna look cool, because even being hard as hell it's also pretty fun. i promise you'll get several thousand deaths, though. the reward is not anything game-changing, it just makes you look cool.
the boss is fucking ridiculous. it has precoded behavior including both movement and attacks, all of which are really fast and quite crazy when combined. you get to rake in all the snowflake points if you beat the boss, though, so if you're up for the challenge then go for it.
the graphics are also pretty damn cool. it gets its own special lighting engine (CBNA Smartlight) which is resource intensive but luckily our wonderful maker plasmanapkin included a non-lighting version for toaster computers. thanks plasma.
would recommend.

needle is cramped and outdated, but the boss is absolutely incredible, very fun to learn how it works and how to adapt to the situations it puts you in, and the blisteringly fast pace of the boss keeps it entertaining long after you've learned all the attacks and what the boss can do.

The needle segments were really fun and the boss was amazing, unfortunately I had to to play on the toaster version, and every time he spawned some orbs from the ground, an error message always appeared, which killed me almost everytime. The boss was fun though, and I eventually got an attempt where he didn't execute that attack, nevertheless this clearly requires a fix. Also, entering the secret was a really fun process, but as soon as I reached the secret room and realised jump-cancelling was required, I immediately left because JC sucks.

Game was hard as balls. It's a lot of needle before you can get to the boss, which, is no joke of a boss! The needle itself is pretty interesting, there are some shitty saves, but mostly they're good, level-design-wise. There're a few screens with spinning lasers and shit which are really cool, but they're pretty hard to maneuver sometimes. Great visuals with the lighting engine Plasma put in, gives it a nice atmosphere.
The boss was um... quite difficult. It's very hard to learn, because it has actual AI, rather than patterned attacks. Once you learn how to dodge everything though, it's still unpredictable and you have to be on your toes the entire time. I enjoy bosses that keep you on your feet, keep you moving. It's really hard and really fun.
Overall, would recommend playing!
