Skyclad is one of dagger's oldest adventure games, and it definitely lives up to such. It's a much more classic feel than the others he has, and undoubtedly rough around the edges as well.
The game consists of 3 main stages, with the first two having a boss and the last having an avoidance. The gameplay in these varies quite, with some saves being rather simple and fun and others being the exact opposite. In the third stage, you'll find one famous gimmick, it involves a gauge at the top that constantly progresses and disables colored blocks/spikes when it is within that color of the gauge. While this sounds cool, it was actually incredibly frustrating to play since it led to a lot of awkward moments and annoying levels of waiting. Following this stage is a chase sequence where you need to backtrack the whole way at the end, this was probably the most annoying part of the game due to having one segment way harder than the rest in it. Finally, the game concludes with an avoidance based on Stein's Gate, I honestly found it mostly enjoyable
Overall, it's not that terrible of a game but it definitely isn't polished work, I would recommend the avoidance though.
