This game requires primary jumps that you have done [ex)corner, T-born, sggk...]
yeah In case of normal play, almost everything is great-segments, sprites, and background rains :) You can play normal easily if you have a primary skill
However, in case of extra version, 1st screen, 2nd screen, 4th screen have only one save and there are segments that you have done and dodged. They come back. stronger and harder spikes await you. 3rd screen is just like a hard needle game. but 3rd screen is much easier than the other screens, So i mean.... Good Luck!

Review includes extra

I'm finally done with this game, a journey that started in I think 2017 has finally come to an end.

The base game is 10 screens of what I'd call 75 difficulty needle, the saves can go from taking 25 minutes to complete to taking 2 hours to complete (at least for me), I completed the base game in around 11 hours, so an average of 1 hour per screen in the main game.

But beating the main game and quitting's for pansies imo, because extra is where things get spicy.

First screen of extra actually took me longer to complete than the main game, taking 12 hours to get to the second screen of extra.

Extra screen 2 didn't take as long, whopping in at 7 hours, but it was still a really big challenge.

Extra screen 3 was a complete joke compared to the two before, taking a whopping 15 minutes for me to complete it, hardest save was the first and that's because it had a leehe jump, then again I did get incredibly lucky on the second save, first trying everything after the shuriken.

Now you'd think extra screen 4 would be the easiest now because the screens seem to be getting easier and easier, well just for perspective this is the hardest needle screen I've beaten by far.

Extra screen 4 is basically a screen from the main game but stripped of all but one of it's saves, I don't know if it's actually that bad but it did take me like 20 hours so I think it's safe to assume.

But even with all those hours spent on extra and the horrifying 6 chokes on extra screen 4, I still enjoyed the experience and I would recommend this game to any experienced needle player!

If you read this far, congratulations and thank you for reading my review!
Edit: Added spoiler, can't believe I didn't spoiler all that before.

I died literally 17 times to the final jump, which I think summarizes my entire playthrough. But hey, I joined the 0.2%! (Rating and review do not include extra content.)

Cleartime and deaths: 2:18:08, 3245

Existential agony aside, I don't think I'm good enough to avoid what made the game unenjoyable for me: the visuals. About an hour in, they started feeling quite monotone, and slightly obscuring (it's hard to see the kid's feet).

Beyond that, I really feel like the game would have benefited from deviating from the 32 pixel layout; there were a few jumps that were comparatively much more difficult than the rest, which seemingly led to the surrounding jumps being made too simple (or, if they weren't, then the save was disproportionately difficult). This led to a lot of dying to the same jumps, but with a bit of empty travel in between. For example, one save has the player do a few two-frame jumps with the ceiling being lethal as a way to transition from left to right. This isn't bad on its own; however, it's made bad by the bulk of the save being after that transition period, flanked on the left by a ledge grab and on the right by two downward diagonals. It's frustrating design—especially if you're not good enough to beat the second half of the save in a few tries.

On my end, I should have spaced out my playthrough more. I did the vast majority of the game (9/10 screens) in a single sitting. Yet there are plenty of other (fan)games out there for which this is not an issue, despite being quite difficult. In this light, I stand by my earlier criticism regarding the visuals.

On the plus side, I did appreciate how accessible the good aligns were (particularly for ledge grabs). There was never any danger of having to backtrack for the right align, or, worse, risking a softlock by saving with the wrong align for the jumps to follow, but this doesn't make up for the hyper-generic platforming. For example, one save consists of a downward diagonal, upward plane, upward corner, diagonal, downward corner, quasi-diamond, and downward diagonal. While I've picked a particularly egregious save, this does give you an idea of the type of experience you're in for: many named jumps. There are some nice drops, though—and no downward planes!
