Really long needle game consisting of 10 stages with 20 screens each (Shouldn't really be considered a floor game, as it bears almost no resemblance to one). The visuals range between pretty good and somewhat bad (The negative extreme consisting mainly of distracting visual effects and poorly chosen backgrounds, but these only represent a minor percentage of the game), and the difficulty curve is heavily floaty, but the music choices are consistently good through the whole game, and so is the platforming itself (Plenty of interesting jumps, decent amount of variety).
However, while the platforming does have a decent amount of variety, including sections that stand out due to their relatively unique design, some screens/saves are also too similar to each other, which makes the game feel repetitive at some points, as if you're playing the same saves again. Also, while the death sound's volume doesn't change, the musics' volumes do, so sometimes it sounds low, but sometimes it sounds annoyingly high.
That being said, I did enjoy most of the game quite a bit. It's a great needle game with some pretty cool visual sets and outstanding design. Would recommend.

Way of a Needle feels like a game that would've benefited greatly from less floors per stage / visual theme, or just more variation per screen. For 200 floors of needle, the quality stayed interesting enough to keep me going and had a fair share of pretty interesting screens, but due to the overwhelming amount of needle in the game it felt really hard to find the more memorable elements.

I played through the entirety of this in one sitting which I feel impacted my enjoyment a little, as I felt a little burnt out towards the end. Despite this, I think I'd feel the same way even with a break in-between. There is a noticeable dip in quality for visuals in the last 3 stages (60 needle screens) which bothered me. This is a lot of needle to play alongside really not-good visuals, which just made it harder to see certain spikes or were just unpleasant to look at. The needle gets harder at this point, often with a couple really overly-awkward saves that dragged progress down a bit too much.

Having said that, it's a hard feat to make 200 screens of needle consistently interesting and not just resort to generic and boring design. The majority of the game is interesting and I particularly liked the earlier stages with smaller rooms, which had me wishing the later stages kept this small-room-layout theme too.

It's worth a play but I'd recommend doing so in multiple sessions to avoid burn-out and tedium, and so long as you can look through some questionable visuals and bumpy save balance in parts.

If I had to choose one word to describe this game, it would be "Boring."

200 floor needle game divided into 10 stages. Really fun needle overall, never felt too boring play-wise. However, each stage lasting 20 rooms did get tedious, especially with the last two stages having pretty bad visuals. The difficulty curve is pretty rocky, but that's to be expected from something so long. Really good needle game for just about anyone.

This game just drags and drags and drags. It never feels like it ends. I'd rather have a bunch of shorter, consistently decent needle, than 20 screens per stage with a couple saves that outright suck. I did enjoy parts of the game but I was so tired and bored of it by the end that I wanted to move on to something else and I probably should have.
