Hearty Jewel is an interesting Adventure game with a good bit of variety and a lot of unique ideas.
It starts with a bit of a rough beginning due to a few end-of-save traps, but the game becomes quite better as you go on. It's laid out in a traditional stage-boss-stage format, with each having a totally different theme than the last. The final two stages are the best parts of the game, with one being centered around puzzles whilst the other is around the stop-move gimmick from Undertale. It's worth knowing as a tip for the puzzle boss you can Pause in order to think about the solution otherwise it becomes much harder. The final boss is pretty damn cool, but it is rather long and has some unsavory parts due to how learny they are, so be aware that the "gimmick moments" are patterned and are always the same.
Overall, this deserves to be hailed as a true bonafide Adventure game. There's variety, fun bosses, some interesting segments, and was overall worth playing for sure. Highly recommended.

Apart from a few annoying traps in the beginning, this was a great experience.

Hearty Jewel is a cool adventure game, which ultimately does nothing truly unique, but winds up being a good time regardless. As others have said, the game is weakest at the beginning. I found some of the traps to be pretty funny (such as a certain save blocker), but there are also a lot of annoyingly long saves. However, as the game goes on, it introduces more gimmicks and even puzzly elements to its gameplay.
The last two stages were definitely the best. I liked the second to last stage's puzzles, both the cannon rotation, keys, and block pushing. Puzzle elements are always fun to see in an adventure game, they really spiced it up, serving as a good break form the traps and platforming. Likewise, the final stage made good use of undertale color lines. These saves all felt really interesting, and the traps were funny.
I also quite enjoyed the bosses in this game, again particularly the last two. Having puzzle elements injected mid boss in the penultimate one was really cool, definitely a good way to add tension and make the player panic. The final boss was also really cool, it has a ton of variety in its attacks, and I had a blast learning all of it, despite the length.
Overall, an adventure game I'd recommend. If you've played a good number of fangames, most of this stuff will be treading familiar ground. However, this game treads it well, keeping me interested and enjoying myself.

If you wanna be generous, this is a cycle based platforming game with traps to spice it up and fun bosses, but in my opinion this is a waiting simulator with annoying traps in long saves and... yeah the bosses are pretty fun. A lot of saves feel like big time wasters especially in the first half of the game, but the later stages are a lot better which makes up for it, even if I still think the traps are dumb and annoying. The bosses are cool though, lots of creative attack ideas and they are satisfying to beat, definitely the highlight of the experience. Overall a fine adventure game.
