Far From Home is a fun game that's focused on vine and water jumps, that tend to be a bit precision oriented. Of course, as expected from Plasma, the biggest draw is the aesthetics, which are quite enjoyable. The shaky black voids, and patchwork nature of the stages, is a really evocative feeling that adds a lot to the game.
In terms of gameplay, this game shows off really impressive pathing, using vines and water to go in circles around screens, often revisiting areas you've been to before but now with a double jump available. The maneuvers required are usually pretty fun, traversing the game feels usually very smooth. Of course, there is also frequent focus on precision, particularly the kind of jumps where you will find yourself falling just a bit short. This mixes up the formula, making the game feel less samey than if it was pure vine pathing. I would argue it goes a bit too far sometimes, the max height jump into water at the start of an easy save is fine, the second one in the middle of a more difficult save was a bit of a low point.
Overall, definitely a game I can recommend to skilled needle players, particularly those who enjoy pathing needle and good aesthetics.

Good needle, but has that overwhelming vibe that i didn't find truly enjoyable for myself (must noticed that i accidentally returned to one of the old saves at the some point - always meh, even tho of course my fault), also not having save at the last warp for some point is not a good desicion. Also has obnoxious bug, when game can crash after gameover. Over than that tho, i have little complaints - needle was interesting and unique with some clever stuff going on. But i wish it be can polished at places that i described

I wish I could have enjoyed this more. The pathing is insane—but the platforming is just really not my taste. I wish the overly precise jumps were nerfed, with even longer segments between saves. That way, I wouldn't be dying repeatedly to the same frame-perfect vine jump or blind drop every time.
As always, Plasma brings wonderful visuals, and production value in general.
I also had to replay the final save because I accidentally re-entered a warp without saving. Seeing as the final save is one of the hardest in the game, I would have greatly appreciated an autosave.
