What a fucking amazing game, it's been a long time since I've been so completely engaged and happy with a fangame. I almost came when it ended, it's such a good game.

It looks fantastic, and uses several gimmicks and traps to make the levels fun. At first I didn't like the traps but they become especially good after the first boss. The game only consists of two stages, but they both have such a massive variety of gimmicks and interesting design, that it makes for them some of the best stages ever in a fangame.

I wasn't too keen on the first boss, which was a major step up in difficulty for me. The final boss is really cool, but it was over so quick for me. I wish that it would have been just slightly harder, though I appreciate that it's a very fun and non-frustrating boss.

I wish there was more, but even with this amount of content it's such an amazing game. Go play this.

Top tier trap/venture game. Visuals are top notch, traps always clever and surprising and bosses are well-made, especially the final one (seriously, this boss has A TON of different attacks it's really crazy). The only downside of the game is its length, "only" 2 stages. Even if those stages are long enough to be entertaining, this game had the potential to be a full lengthy adventure game and clearly one of the best.
Would highly recommend.

From the maker of Fancy comes another wonderful little adventure game that comes out lasting unfortunately shorter than I hoped, although perhaps it makes up for that by being 16:9 resolution.

Hibikusuku consists of two very unique and polished stages, featuring a variety of different challenges and concepts to make each screen feel that bit different from the last. It has a fair share of traps, although they never felt obnoxious or annoying. I particularly liked the elevator climb on the second stage, and it's something I'd have liked to have seen more of.

Each stage also features a boss. The first boss gave me some trouble initially with the telegraphing being a bit tricky for me to get good at and figure out the best way to handle damaging and surviving. The second boss was moreso RNG based rather than pattern memorisation and was more enjoyable to me. What's notable is the sheer number of attacks the second boss has! I was quite impressed, and it kept the fight feeling very engaging and fresh, as well as well balanced.

I left with very few complaints, with the main one being I wish it was longer. For what it is, it provides a great little adventure experience and one that I'd easily recommend.
