This is a needle collab between me and five other fine makers that's been in the works for quite a while now. We're really happy to finally have the game released, and we hope you all enjoy it!

I would advise reading "read e.txt" :~)

Excellent needle with only a couple bruh saves (one in Egg's and Skull's stages). I wasn't a fan of Watson's stage because cycle needle is simply not fun for me, but it was easy enough that it didn't really matter.

Most of the game is in the mid-to-high 50s, occasionally creeping into the 60s; it gets a 65 because of the two outlier saves I mentioned earlier. Would still recommend to players in that skill range, and of course recommend to higher-skilled players as well.

Rating include E side.
Great collab overall, there are 6 stages by 6 different makers, all in there own style. Once you beat all of them, you unlock a new hub with some extra screens. Gonna talf about each one in the order I played them:
-LAWatson : Easiest area and maybe the most unique one, it mostly uses apples and backtracking. Visuals are cute and very pleasant to look at. It's sadly the shortest area, only 3 screens. E side is again apples shenanigans but with a new gimmick that allow you to stop the time. I would say that extra is better than main game here.

-arzztt : the best area in the game, with a solid use of vkid. Extra is also very solid, good job.

-Nader : cool area but far from being as good as the recent works from him (krypton and neon 3). I remember the first screen being the hardest and the most frustrating of his stage. Extra is a bit easier and feel more enjoyable.

-Skulldude : the hardest area in the game and also my least favorite. It uses vines and many tight jumps, which is something I don't really like, even if it's still enjoyable overall. Extra is easier and a bit better than the main game, still one of my least favorite.

-inferno : second best area of the game, it's built around triple jump. It has a very good flow and is very pleasant to play. Extra however, is way harder than the main game (and is btw the only area with a extra harder than the main game). The first screen is a one jump screen, and is very painful to play. At the time I'm writting this review, I'm still stuck on it but I looked at a video and the second screen looks good but very hard.

-egg : my second least favorite and one of the hardest area, it's a nice area overall but has some annoying stuff like transition screens being bad and confusing, a dick spike in the first screen and some saves have only one jump harder than the other. Extra is also quite hard, but doesn't look good, I'm on screen 1 second save and it starts with a very difficult and painful vine jump that doesn't makee me want to continue. Effects are also disturbing both in the main stage and in extra.

Overall, it's a good game with some ups and downs. You will certainly find something you like and because most of the main game is around 60-65, it's accessible for most people (skull and egg areas being the reasons why my rating is so high). I will update it if I manage to do egg and inf area.
If I had to rank them, I would say:
-main game : arzztt > inf > watson > nader > egg > skull
-extra : watson > arzztt > nader > skull

EDIT : I recently wanted to finally complete this game, and choose to start it from the beginning and my tolerence to trash might have lowered through years but egg normal stage was way way worse than in my memories and full of shits that shouldn't have passed testing including : dick spikes, jumps involving 2 screens, saves that play like cramped corridor needle from 2012, stupidely tight drop, choke jumps. I won't lower my rating because on the contrary I liked skull normal stage, nader normal stage and egg extra more than in my first playthrough, but it really tanked my enjoyement of the game.

It's a good needle collab, but I strongly recommend that you turn off the effects while playing.
Also it's weird that in extra stage(E side), only Infern's stage is harder than its standard stage imo.

Pretty neat high production needle game. Only real complaints I can come up with are either nitpicky or subjective. One thing I do think was a little weird was that several of the levels were shorter/longer than others, which sometimes made the areas feel unbalanced or like they were dragging. My personal favorites were egg's area, infern0's area, and LAWatson's area, but I enjoyed all of them. Would recommend if you are good enough, the easiest levels are around a 50 difficulty, and the hardest areas are around 75 difficulty.

Chill Side is a great needle collab featuring a variety of talented needle makers with a collection of unique and memorable needle stages, some featuring fun gimmicks to mix the gameplay up a little.

The production value from the get-go feels very high, with slick effects on the title screen and consideration into leaving and re-entering stages mid-way through which is always appreciated in this kind of the game. The level design feels strong for the most part with only a couple of hiccups that I stumbled on. My personal highlight would probably be Inferno's stage in the main game which felt like it flowed very nicely and had nice leniency to the jumps whilst utilizing the triple jump mechanic very well, although I enjoyed aspects of every maker's stage to a great degree. I particularly liked the gimmicks used, as Arz once again made solid use of the VVVVVV gimmick and Watson's moving cherry shenanigans made it one of the most memorable parts of the game.

The game also features an extra which has a few extra screens by each maker. I actually found a couple of these to be easier than their main game counterparts (such as Nader and Skull) although that's by no means a problem and was actually quite nice to have some easier segments, keeping the strong level design intact.

Definitely worth a play if you're a needle fan, as this is one of the stronger needle collabs out there which leaves quite a footprint in the needle collab subgenre. If there's ever a sequel, I'd love to see further use of the gimmicks which the makers have established themselves at being very proficient at designing with. Good times.
