Rating includes extra, which you get access to by clearing the main game in under 40 minutes IGT. Mostly good, except for the visual-challenge garbage sections, which are abysmal.

This game is so well made. Needles were great, even though I didn't like the tileset so much.
There were some intense points that made the atmosphere. They were awesome, and I liked the idea of extra, too.

Empyreal spike is almost a great short needle game. The jumps themselves aren't the most creative but the pathing makes it still very fun. The saves are generally longer with very balanced jumps. I really like how there's a music playlist instead of one song.
Unfortunately somewhere near the end the kid sprite is intentionally flipped upside down. It doesn't last for many saves but it's really annoying regardless. At the end of a save for some reason everything becomes invisible, so you gotta do a couple of jumps blind, they aren't hard but it comes so out of nowhere that you'll probably atleast die once.
The extra is timed needle, but the jumps are corner/diagonal spam.
