I will say it upfront. This game disappointed me a lot.
I like JRockers kind of platforming usually, and this is also the typical Noesis/Rukito inspired type of needle with a lot of moving obstacles and cycle based platforming. Unlike sustenance or his area in NNB though, the saves in this game are mostly way shorter, hence he upped the difficulty of the inputs needed for those smaller segments. Now this can be alright, but in this game I felt it was often done terribly, to the point that saves felt indredibly awkward and unfun, and even painful to do (especially a certain save with splitting water where it was basically 4 fulljumps and then only lowjumps while trying to learn like 5 cycles). There were quite a few of those in the game and they really made me just want to quit. The game also features a boss that is difficult. I also did not like this boss, I get it, I get the theme of having to drop off and get on the platforms again, but especially the second attack to me seemed dumb as rng can just decide that you can either deal all the damage needed in 10 seconds or take 20 seconds for a single hit which was also incredibly annoying. Admittedly the boss is probably kinda fun but after playing the platforming and the second attack of the boss I was already in bad enough a mood I just wanted to delete the game and didn't feel any happiness beating it.

An amazing needle game by JR, a maker which has taken some nice inspiration from Noesis and Rukito games, without going overboard with it, while keeping his name high up thanks to his creativity and the new cool stuff he adds to this kind of platforming.

The thing I appreciate the most about his most recent stuff is that it's so hard yet the movement is so fun. I ended up doing one of the hardest saves I've ever done and I got so into it that a lot of time went by without me noticing and I enjoyed every bit of it (and I'm almost sure it took me that long because I was stubborn with certain strats), a feeling that I almost never get with hard needle saves.

Balance doesn't exist in this game, but I couldn't care less, because it's fun all the way through, and that's what matters.

It also includes a boss at the end, keeping of course, some of that inspiration mentioned, and I can only describe as, deceivingly simple, fun and intense.

It's easier than his previous games, so hopefully more people feel less intimidated and give it a try. Still a tough challenge. Recommended
