Hey. I'm Racic. I made this game.

This game is a complete off the wall trap game. It's made as an ode to the genre of fangames that I love the most, so there's a lot of inspiration grabbed from a number of different trapgames, and trapgame makers, all redone with a "Racic twist."

The entire IDEA (not plot, you gotta play the game for that ;) ) behind the game is simple. As an older, and far far less skilled player of fangames, I had noticed that newer games kept coming out with more complicated gimmicks, and the skill level kept getting higher and higher. One of my goals was to take fangames back to that old-school silly trap, dated references, fun. Is this game going to change your life? No. Will you think about this game 20 minutes after you play it? Probably not. As long as you have some fun while you're playing, that's all I want. :) It's not SUPER difficult, it's not going to change your outlook on life, it won't be in any speedruns or anything. You'll play it, you'll (hopefully) laugh a bit, and that'll be that. <3

* Fixed a bug where, uh, you couldn't actually enter the Eurodance boss stage without the game crashing. Oops.

Might be the worst trap game I have played, everything that could have been good is ruined by atrocious sound effects and most traps are just unfun and annoying in general. The game is basically "poop! AHAHAH I SAID POOP!". if you laughed then you might like it.

Just a few other things :
-you might think that in a game that has "develop an appreciation for music", music will be important. But as I said, sound effects ruin everything included music that is constently stopped and overlapped by something else.
-While I think almost everything is pretty bad, I actually laughed 2 times.
-Before my review, this game had more than bigger penis, which is by far the greatest trap game ever made. I don't understand.
-Because this is an very appreciate game by most people, just gonna clarify : my opinion is my opinion, I know how ass this community can be (not targeted at all to the maker, I already talked a bit with him and he's prob one of the nicest person in IWC, just some others I won't name). I heavily disliked the game and don't really understand how some people put it next to games like bigger penis, arcana, slimetrap, etc. I you agree then good, if not then good.

Congrats for release, it's clearly not for me but considering how many people love it, it's worth giving it a try because it might be only me.

It's very much reminiscent of oldschool trap games, with all the good and bad that comes along with that. Some traps were pretty funny, but there's also a lot of stuff that kinda just falls down and kills you, and lots of fake/invisible blocks with a sound that might get a lil annoying after a while. Still, though, I respect the effort and creativity that went into making this wacky little experience of a trap game. The humour may be slightly outdated but that's okay. The saves are reasonably spaced apart between all the traps that you won't get very frustrated by any of the segments, save for The hip-hop penalty room, which went on just a bit too long.

I don't entirely agree with the comparison in the readme with IWBTG and Boshy - this game is entirely a trap game without too much else. While Boshy did have lots of traps in it, they were spaced apart with lots of gimmicky platforming in-between, and it also had bosses of course. As such I don't think this game is really an "adventure" game as much as it is just a trap game with the veil of an adventure. Just felt like saying that for anyone who might be going into this expecting a traditional adventure game.

In short, I think it's a fun time with lots of stupid moments that will probably at least make you expel air from your nose as you go. And what more can you ask for? Props to Racic for finishing the game too, I know it's been a very big learning experience for him. If there's one thing the game definitely isn't lacking it's charm.

Sidenote: I'm not sure if Racic met his CRTC requirements for Canadian content with this game. The Stompin' Tom Connors song was nice, but we could have done with some Great Big Sea or maybe a little Tragically Hip or Barenaked Ladies. I sincerely hope he tries harder next time, or else he may risk deportation.

After a stressful day of college work and other life moments, this was the best fangame I think I could have decided to play; it's really just a perfect breath of fresh air that strives to do nothing but make your day better. Trap games have always been a bit hit-or-miss with me, but this really just made me laugh my head off all the way through. I also want to mention that even the outside factors of the game were hilarious as well, such as the trailer and the release video.

Each stage is fashioned after four popular genres of music, and I think nails the theme every single time in each. This is added on by the fact that each stage has its own music per room, and even a custom death image to really nail it in. You can also easily tell that each room is meant to correspond to the theme independently. Now be warned, Racic is Canadian, so when you walk into the Country Music stage you may be jumpscared by a song that wasn't written in Texas, who knew that even existed! You'll also notice a combination of many trap styles in-game, ranging from the classic moving spikes, to the elaborate multi-phase traps from Eastern games. Not only does IWDAAFM show great knowledge about various styles within the Trap genre, it often features plenty of fangame community references and even others outside of it; this is to the point that while the Kid is trying to gain an appreciation for music, it feels like Racic is showing his own appreciations as well.

Overall, this is exactly what I expected to come from the maker, even more actually, it really resonates with their personality and exemplifies their level of humor and energy. I'd definitely recommend this to pretty much everyone, as it's well worth the play.

Racic's first full-length solo fangame is one that seeks to bring us back to more oldschool fangames when everything was simpler, easier, and more silly. Personally, I'm actually a huge fan of the direction fangames have gone in the last few years, but at the same time I do think that there's still room for these more classic thrown together type fangames. Racic's game served as proof of that for me. If I'm being honest, there are hardly any trap fangames I enjoy. They tend to overstay their welcome, and can get tedious for me.

The game does have moments where it just feels like "Okay spike trap I get it" but for me this game largely avoids that problem by saves being short and to the point. If they were any longer I would have been annoyed, but they aren't. I found this game charming. There's a sort of playful irony and camp present throughout the game that I just found endearing. It doesn't take itself seriously. There's some juvenile humor here that's frankly adorable. There were even a few times where I found myself laughing out of my chair. I feel like this game utilizes some oldschool fangame humor and some new fangame humor without it being overbearing. Unlike a lot of modern fangames with a comedic slant, someone without much familiarity of the community could play this and get a laugh out of it, which is especially important to me. A game whose humor I criticized was I Wanna Look Inside, because it often felt like the humor relied too much on inside jokes within the community that, while funny, felt played out by the time it was out, and as such felt like it suffered. I'm glad to say this game doesn't have that problem for me.

I can confidently say that there's nobody else who could have made this specific game other than Racic, which matters to me as someone who's been playing fangames over 5 years. I think some traps are generic and it doesn't always stick the landing, but when it hits, it hits HARD. My favorite trap game this year and probably in my top 10 of 2022 overall.

I owed my fellow Racic a live playthrough since ages, and by the time February came, I never released a review.

Truth to be told, fangame reviews were passed to a lower priority given many changes and events concerning my family’s health, my work, new ways of working at my job with a hybrid Home-Office / In-Presence model, and a recent engagement! My oh my, there will be another wedding in the IWC.

However, I personally established an obligation to review every single fangame I ever play because it’s a personal moral standard: there is a reason for my numbers, my appreciation matters, I share my worldviews with this unique community that still employs memes and humorous language I will never understand for the life of me, and, most importantly, all artists deserve feedback about their work and a review is the least they deserve.

Since day zero, I have always hated trap games. Also, as the community becomes desensitized with a brutally increasing trend of absurdly difficult games that will get today a difficulty rating of 71 even if in the old days they would be floating around a rating of 82, finding fun games of any genre becomes a challenge more today. That is why we, the less skilled ones, are each time more grateful for events like IWT (and there will still be outliers, like Know My Retribution or luck-based Crispy Fries).

This is where Racic and I share a tangency point in our vision:

“As an older, and far far less skilled player of fangames, I had noticed that newer games kept coming out with more complicated gimmicks, and the skill level kept getting higher and higher. One of my goals was to take fangames back to that old-school silly trap, dated references, fun.”

Why has this become rarer today? As a far far less skilled player of fangames myself as well, Racic wore the brave pants of creating a fangame, something I have no idea how to do (let alone having free time today to learn how to), and delivered this charm.

Prepare yourself for a surreal adventure trap game that will culture you with the basics of old-school hip hop, 90s Eurodance, vocaloids and country music (thanks a ton for the latter since it has been unjustly maligned and trashed).

The level of self-awareness is massive, and I think that’s the point of it all. “It is not a game that will change our lives”, but it’s just out there as a homage to the old days of not-frustrating fun. It’s a trap game, but the traps really don’t repeat themselves as much as old-school atrocities inspired by the legendary downloaders of Record My Jumps. The Sudoku-ish aspect of it makes it what it is: low production value goes along with the humor of the game.

I am not the meme-humor type, which pretty much excludes me from 95% of the Gen-Zers and 85% of the millennials (me being one), so the humor is lost on me. Many screens are frustratingly looking, and the traps do fall into generic territory most of the time. There is a punishment room, and it gets too cruel with the number of times intended for you to fall into it. It stops being funny and makes you begin to pray you don’t go there for the 17th time, especially if you have a terrible memory for traps (me).

The spikes sprites are a meme by this point, but why must all of them be poop? It’s kindergarten humor and you’ll have to endure it to the end. Still, what I love about Racic is that the upcoming sequel has “poop spikes addressed”, raising a middle finger to all. What can we do? Legend.

It’s a game that you can flush down the toilet, but it manages to do exactly what it aims to do: culture a little, restore the old Kayin days (who unironically gets trashed today) and makes you laugh. I laugh a couple of times, to which Racic said: “I don’t mind about your final Cochran rating: you’re having a good time and that’s enough for me”.

You have my respect, good sir.
