Hey. I'm Racic. I made this game.
This game is a complete off the wall trap game. It's made as an ode to the genre of fangames that I love the most, so there's a lot of inspiration grabbed from a number of different trapgames, and trapgame makers, all redone with a "Racic twist."
The entire IDEA (not plot, you gotta play the game for that ;) ) behind the game is simple. As an older, and far far less skilled player of fangames, I had noticed that newer games kept coming out with more complicated gimmicks, and the skill level kept getting higher and higher. One of my goals was to take fangames back to that old-school silly trap, dated references, fun. Is this game going to change your life? No. Will you think about this game 20 minutes after you play it? Probably not. As long as you have some fun while you're playing, that's all I want. :) It's not SUPER difficult, it's not going to change your outlook on life, it won't be in any speedruns or anything. You'll play it, you'll (hopefully) laugh a bit, and that'll be that. <3
v1.5 (final version, barring any awful bugs found) - July 30, 2023
* Removed the post-credits hub/"secrets" tracking nonsense. It wasn't working correctly, and the "secrets" were just slightly out of the way traps and such. They have no affect on the rest of the game, nor do they unlock anything. They're also semi-tracked and mentioned during The Kid's thought bubbles DURING the credits.
* Added "Audio Jungle" mode in the Options. This will play the "Audio Jungle" sound every couple of seconds. It needs to be turned on every time you start the game, but should persist throughout a single playthrough.
v1.4 - January 10, 2023
* Fixed issue with the Vocaloid GG warp not working
* Fixed issue with incorrect thought bubble showing up for Vocaloid on the GG screen
* Fixed issue with player spawn position when going back to the GG screen
v1.3 - July 10, 2022
* Fixed a bug where you couldn't restart your game after triggering a specific trap.
* Fixed a clipping issue if you tried to go too fast through a specific trap.
* Fixed an issue where a multi-trap's initial trigger could be skipped making for some janky looking shit.
* Turned down the BGM for "the streamer room" to hopefully make their clips easier to hear.
* Added the clean version of Big Pimpin' in that room rather than the album version.
* Added another "nope" for consistency during a quiz.
* Added a stage select in the GG screen along with showing you if you got the "thing" in each area.
v1.21 - April 19, 2022
* Patched a skip on the "Question 1" screen. (It was pretty major, otherwise I would have left it <3 )
* After seeing a letter for the first time in the 3rd room of final area, it will now be visible when restarting.
* Going an alternate path in a certain room will more reliably show some text describing that path.
* The sign in the 2nd room of the Vocaloid area will automatically display its text.
* More changes to the THANK YOU FESTIVAL lineup.
v1.2 - April 19, 2022
* Fixed some weird shit that was broken in the 3rd room of the Vocaloid area.
* Updated the THANK YOU FESTIVAL lineup.
v1.1 - April 18, 2022
* Fixed potential softlock in 2nd room of Country Music area.
* Fixed issue with some browsers not loading a URL properly in the 3rd room of the Hiphop area.
* Updated 2nd room of Hiphop area to return you to the 2nd save if you make a.. "detour" after saving there.
* Fixed a hitbox issue with one of the poops in the 1st room of Eurodance Area.
v1.0 - April 17, 2022
* Game released

It's very much reminiscent of oldschool trap games, with all the good and bad that comes along with that. Some traps were pretty funny, but there's also a lot of stuff that kinda just falls down and kills you, and lots of fake/invisible blocks with a sound that might get a lil annoying after a while. Still, though, I respect the effort and creativity that went into making this wacky little experience of a trap game. The humour may be slightly outdated but that's okay. The saves are reasonably spaced apart between all the traps that you won't get very frustrated by any of the segments, save for The hip-hop penalty room, which went on just a bit too long.
I don't entirely agree with the comparison in the readme with IWBTG and Boshy - this game is entirely a trap game without too much else. While Boshy did have lots of traps in it, they were spaced apart with lots of gimmicky platforming in-between, and it also had bosses of course. As such I don't think this game is really an "adventure" game as much as it is just a trap game with the veil of an adventure. Just felt like saying that for anyone who might be going into this expecting a traditional adventure game.
In short, I think it's a fun time with lots of stupid moments that will probably at least make you expel air from your nose as you go. And what more can you ask for? Props to Racic for finishing the game too, I know it's been a very big learning experience for him. If there's one thing the game definitely isn't lacking it's charm.
Sidenote: I'm not sure if Racic met his CRTC requirements for Canadian content with this game. The Stompin' Tom Connors song was nice, but we could have done with some Great Big Sea or maybe a little Tragically Hip or Barenaked Ladies. I sincerely hope he tries harder next time, or else he may risk deportation.

Might be the worst trap game I have played, everything that could have been good is ruined by atrocious sound effects and most traps are just unfun and annoying in general. The game is basically "poop! AHAHAH I SAID POOP!". if you laughed then you might like it.
Just a few other things :
-you might think that in a game that has "develop an appreciation for music", music will be important. But as I said, sound effects ruin everything included music that is constently stopped and overlapped by something else.
-While I think almost everything is pretty bad, I actually laughed 2 times.
-Before my review, this game had more than bigger penis, which is by far the greatest trap game ever made. I don't understand.
-Because this is an very appreciate game by most people, just gonna clarify : my opinion is my opinion, I know how ass this community can be (not targeted at all to the maker, I already talked a bit with him and he's prob one of the nicest person in IWC, just some others I won't name). I heavily disliked the game and don't really understand how some people put it next to games like bigger penis, arcana, slimetrap, etc. I you agree then good, if not then good.
Congrats for release, it's clearly not for me but considering how many people love it, it's worth giving it a try because it might be only me.

After a stressful day of college work and other life moments, this was the best fangame I think I could have decided to play; it's really just a perfect breath of fresh air that strives to do nothing but make your day better. Trap games have always been a bit hit-or-miss with me, but this really just made me laugh my head off all the way through. I also want to mention that even the outside factors of the game were hilarious as well, such as the trailer and the release video.
Each stage is fashioned after four popular genres of music, and I think nails the theme every single time in each. This is added on by the fact that each stage has its own music per room, and even a custom death image to really nail it in. You can also easily tell that each room is meant to correspond to the theme independently. Now be warned, Racic is Canadian, so when you walk into the Country Music stage you may be jumpscared by a song that wasn't written in Texas, who knew that even existed! You'll also notice a combination of many trap styles in-game, ranging from the classic moving spikes, to the elaborate multi-phase traps from Eastern games. Not only does IWDAAFM show great knowledge about various styles within the Trap genre, it often features plenty of fangame community references and even others outside of it; this is to the point that while the Kid is trying to gain an appreciation for music, it feels like Racic is showing his own appreciations as well.
Overall, this is exactly what I expected to come from the maker, even more actually, it really resonates with their personality and exemplifies their level of humor and energy. I'd definitely recommend this to pretty much everyone, as it's well worth the play.

Racic's first full-length solo fangame is one that seeks to bring us back to more oldschool fangames when everything was simpler, easier, and more silly. Personally, I'm actually a huge fan of the direction fangames have gone in the last few years, but at the same time I do think that there's still room for these more classic thrown together type fangames and Racic's game was proof of that for me. If I'm being honest, there are hardly any trap fangames I enjoy. They tend to overstay their welcome, and can get tedious to me.
Racic's game does have moments where it just feels like "Okay spike trap I get it" but for me this game largely avoids that problem by saves being short and to the point. If they were any longer I would have been annoyed. I found this game intensely charming to me. There's a sort of playful irony and cheese present throughout the game that I just found intensely endearing. It doesn't take itself seriously. There's some juvenile humor here that's frankly adorable. There were even a few times where I found myself laughing out of my chair. I feel like this game utilizes some oldschool fangame humor and some new fangame humor without it being overbearing. I feel like someone without much familiarity of the community could play this and get a laugh out of it, which is especially important to me. A game whose humor I criticized was I Wanna Look Inside, because it often felt like the humor relied too much on inside jokes and new fangame humor, and as such felt like it suffered. I'm glad to say this game doesn't have that problem for me.
I can confidently say that there's nobody else who could have made this specific game other than Racic, and that's important to me as someone who's been playing fangames over 5 years. I think some traps are generic and it doesn't always stick the landing, but when it hits, it hits HARD. My favorite trap game this year and probably gonna be in my top 10 of 2022 overall.
