It's not too common that you see an avoidance that both has such a clear idea of what it wants to be, but also executes that idea so beautifully that there's hardly anything to complain about, but here we are. Exceed is a masterfully crafted game, for a debut it's obviously very impressive but at the same time Tetra had experience from IWM going into this, and it definitely translated to this game. The attacks are amazing, so many of them are real head scratchers making you wonder how to handle them, but slowly you understand their nuances and get a good idea for how to manage them, this gameplay loop throughout gives the game some incredible depth as there is always room to improve even on attacks you are good at. This is not just some gimmick-reading fest though, these intricate attacks are interwoven with fundamental barrage skill which is required to overcome some of the trickiest attacks in the fight, especially at the end where the complexity goes down but the reading barrier goes way up. The game never feels stale, it never gets boring, you are always engaged with the fight, and it's basically 100% skill based. If I looked really hard, I could probably find something about this game to nitpick, but ultimately I play avoidances because I think they are cool and fun, and this game fulfills both of these criteria.

Absolutely phenomenal barrage fight,Banger till the end.
probably the best RNG-based avoidance I've ever played,tho it has some balance issues so not 10/10
