No screen transition deaths unless you're doing it very wrongly. Does not affect restarting
This is slice of life needle; Nothing new here but nothing stupid either.
Difficulty is uncertain because experienced players will breeze through it, and new players simply don't have skillset for this kind of needle.

Rating based on normal, not deathless.
Simple jtool needle with a couple more technical uses of the standard gimmicks. Difficulty is a bit scattered; players at this level would probably have a much easier time with the latter half of the game.
I like the visuals, which, while basic, are perfect for providing the clarity that needle games ought to have. I also like the cute anime sprites on each screen, which add some charm.
Would recommend normal to players who want a short, relaxing experience, or those who are newer but want to get some practice with approachable needle in this style. Would possibly recommend deathless to more experienced players.
Edit: screen transitions have been fixed. Keeping the below section in for posterity.
While clearing deathless (which apparently has a different ending) sounds appealing on the surface, it's quite easy to die on a couple of screen transitions. This isn't a problem on a normal playthrough because you autosave on transitions, though it will definitely end some deathless attempts. I understand the logic behind it—releasing in time so you don't die is a skill in itself—but for me, I would find it frustrating to die in a way that feels cheap, especially if I have a hard time remembering which transitions are dangerous. It doesn't affect my rating of the game, though, since it's just an optional challenge for experienced players and isn't relevant for a normal playthrough.

short and sweet jtool needle with nice and clean visuals
I enjoyed most of it save for a couple annoying water grabs
would recommend to newer players looking for a challenge, or more advanced players looking for a chill short needle game
