fairly standard needle-only medley conforming to a combination of the K2 and K3 medley model. by this I mean that the titlecard looks like K2 and often features 1 screen per game, but the game has guest stages sort of like K3. some things are obviously lifted from those two as well, such as screenpicks. the game does okay in this regard, not suffering too greatly from Kamilia ripoff syndrome. there are a lot of games here that I've genuinely never heard of, i.e. the random 2-letter one in stage 1 and some others throughout the rest of the game. some screenpicks also go on for longer than one screen sort of arbitrarily, it's kind of rare but it notably happens with locus which has like 4 screens for no reason. you also picked the fucking screen in locus where the kid goes invisible btw
I feel this game would benefit greatly from bosses. the design choice to not have any sort of puzzles me, unless the intention was to make a needle-only medley game - sort of like Cultured 1. additionally, it's worth mentioning that there are only 4 guest stages, of which 2 are sub-par and 2 are pretty fun. the block-matching one is fun and not too difficult and the bad-apple-themed switching one is great, containing undoubtedly the best screens in the game. however, then comes eversion stage and the jet stage. eversion stage is very very long, and will take a good amount of time on your first playthrough. I'd recommend just looking up a video, since there's pretty much no way to know how the eversions work and what switch turns what into what. jet stage just has okay needle ruined by an annoying/bad gimmick, there's not much else to it
