It's ok, there are just way too many named jumps and variations into the mix.
There are a couple more creative saves, but all really stick to the basics in the end.
A few save seems to be more creative, but rely in some kind of preloaded setup in order to pass through.

A very enjoyable experience, one jump from the first and one on the second screen were much more precise than the rest repsectively.
It did not hinder much my appreciation of it, A few of the sequences were very satisfying to pull off.

The difficulty curve of the game is greatn starting fairly easy before adding more precise / trickier sequences throughout the game.
The ending was a little brutal to read through; but looking at the progression it made sense from the whole progression process.
Just seeing at how old the game is also adds up to the innovation it may added back then.

Cool concept using the most basic of square hitboxes.
It makes the usual platforming trickier to use and thankfully it is not a full block box but a little smaller to make some of the precise platforming.
The change of physics through water and the dot-like box helps to counteract a few of the trickier sections in the later stages.
I think the boss gad very quick transitions, sometimes blending in each other and occasionally forming a few quasi-impossible moments of dodging due to the box.
It was very cool to see everything implemented into one there.

you always love to see a good floor game once in a while. floor games are great since they provide an amazing opportunity to make needle in all sorts of different styles and have it still be one coherent game. despite this game not being as long as I would’ve wanted it to be, it’s still at a decent length. many floor games tend to stick to round numbers like 25, 50, 80, 100 or even more. however, games like this one don’t, which I’d say is at the same time a good and bad quality. with a round number-floor game, you can generally expect the game to end after the last expected floor. with irregular floor games, you can’t really expect when the game is going to suddenly end unless you know how many floors there are (and that sort of ruins the fun in some aspects). I won’t say how many there are - instead I’ll say that if this game would’ve been longer, it could’ve been much more well known. furthermore, if the same (or even similar) level of quality and good ideas was present, we could’ve been looking at another amazing and beloved floor game: up there with Terrible Needle Fourinone, April is the Cruelest Month, divisive game, etc.
the game generally follows common 100f structuring - 3 floors per tileset and some irregular rooms. I appreciate how it doesn’t stick to the full 800x608 format that many floor games follow, instead opting for various different room sizes and shapes. it’s a fairly standard practice nowadays, but it’s still nice to see — a practice being common doesn’t necessarily make it bad. the needle is super fun with easy-to-understand gimmicks. they’re all used in new ways each time they appear; but the needle itself isn’t anything super unique - instead, it’s just solid, good needle. it’s uniquely solid, it pretty much never falters at any point. it’s quite rare to see a game with a substantial amount of content have no notable hiccoughs
