While the idea of a game based on unique killer shapes is an interesting one, I feel that Cursed needle does not do it justice. The spike shapes chosen are relatively commonly used ones, such as the shark fin spikes, or circles. These are barely different from standard spikes. In addition, the jump design doesn't used them particularly well. I never felt like I was doing anything other than familiar jumps. This could be converted to a standard needle game with only minor changes.
Furthermore, the jumps themselves are not particularly fun. They are often poorly balanced, and the difficulty came from annoying spike in precision. Ultimately, I have a hard time recommending this game. It's not nearly as "cursed" as it claims, and winds up being pretty generic.

This is my first experience with this type of games and this level was great, didnt feel too hard and is visually appealing. Took me one hour to beat it :D

The third entry in the 4 oguo avoidance series (that have some kind of lore in them, idk).
This one I have beaten recently in 2025 unlike others (which all I have cleared back in 2023). And, it is the hardest and the weakest in the series.
You have barrage avoidance with questionable balance thrown all around. In the beginning you have long intro where projectiles are kind of fast for beginner, but more or less manageable. Then bullets start spinning in hyper-speed (but are pattern?) and then another burst before stopping for like 5 seconds where someone says 'Do you know what is techno', and colour palette shortly changes. The hyper speed part is weird to say the least, but I did like the sudden stopping.
After that you have a lot of weird attacks, where you have to react fast on what is going on. Bullets from top, bouncing and some other stuff. It is hectic and is hard to control.
Then attack difficulty suddenly lowers down and you can easily first try the ending, although the finale can be tricky for a complete beginner. And then avoidance suddenly ends.
If this avoidance was longer, I would probably hate it, but now I just feel indifferent about it. I am not sure why this avoidance exists in these series, it really feels like outlier.
However, the title screen is not your usual dancing Miku! No, no, you have some changes here. You see weird amalgamation of Miku and the Save. In the game itself there is the save in the end, but it is coloured gray (not sure if it is the same one we have encountered in other games or not), instead of the standard colour which is also present in the title screen. I do wonder if we will see Miku anytime soon after all this...
Anyway, you can try this avoidance is you have like 20 minutes of spare time and you have enough skill to not get stuck. But, personally, I would not recommend this game, just play other games in this series of games. Those are more fun, in my opinion.
P.S. Oh yeah, also we have standard death sound instead of special one used in other games in these series (at least if I recall correctly). Not sure why so.
