This review is based on a clear of Adjusted Mode.
I always find it interesting how in spite of most Rukito-likes being basically nothing like actual rukito games, I always enjoy them. They usually bring their own things to the table and to me at least, it shows just how fascinating of a maker Rukito is that basically everyone has their own interpretation of his style and can make it their own while removing or adding things to it, they still feel unified in a sense. It's just one of those things that cements how special he is and this game does nothing to change that view. It's a trigger needle game with four stages. I enjoyed how this game used cycles and occasionally the route through a save would be pretty non-linear, it's small things like that which give it a lot of charm. Final save is a cool way to end the game, pretty lengthy save with twists and turns, this style of save is awesome and usually made much harder than this so it's neat to see a more approachable version of it. Nothing this game does is absolutely ground-breaking but I really like it and it made me happy.

Basic needle, it's somewhat enjoyable but doesn't really do much to stand out. The most interesting things are the saves that appear when you get close to them, and the final screen being harder than the rest of the game to a ridiculous degree, this difficulty rating would be about 15 points lower without it.

For: April is the Cruelest Month
Definitely one of the most consistently great and hard needle games that i've played. Majority of this game is really cool, my personal highlights - line needle stage (probably best line needle i've ever played), stage with moving blocks (this one is hella banger, despite one of the saves is really brutal), stage with funny buttons and pre-pre-last stage which is one big screen with many stuff going on
There was two saves tho that i kinda disliked and they were hardest saves in the game. One of them is last save of pre-last stage - for some reason it was really painful for me and i really didn't like that second half was much harder than first half here. And second save that i didn't truly enjoyed is last save of the game. While having great atmosphere and neat idea, i feel like the chosen sections are kinda disbalanced in bad way with only easy and hard screens, and nothing in between. So yeah, grinding that save was also not very enjoyable and quite frustrating sometimes
But it was still good game aside of this issues. As always, Mark created beatuiful atmosphere with mostly nice needle. This game felt more chaotic than Nebulous Thoughts for me and i think i prefer Nebulous more overall, but i would lie if i say April is not worth it. Play it, if you into hard and cool needle
