The three stages in this game all play quite differently, not just because different makers but they have pretty different design. The green stage is what you'd expect from a game like this, similar to Venus, I personally found the first save way harder than the rest of the stage and honestly the hardest thing in the whole game for me. The grey stage was probably my favorite, definitely feels like Chatran made it and it's quite nice. Blue stage is cool too, there's one stage I think is kinda out of place difficulty wise but besides that it's a chill stage I had a good time with. Overall I think the game is pretty good.

UPDATE: Thanks for the post dorafura just finished the game. I must say that the game was an amazing ride. The gimmicks especially the 3D looking visuals was a nice touch. The final boss had some good music. Well done to the creators that made the game.

This game is very inconsistent, not necessarily in a bad way but there's a pretty wide range of difficulty, types of jumps, save length, among other things throughout the game. The one consistent thing is water grabs, this game has a lot of them and as someone who tends to enjoy that kind of thing, it's a pretty good time. There's definitely moments where I think some sections are excessively precise, like the second to last save starting with two planes, or the first jump on screen 2, but for the most part it works for me and I had a pretty good time.

I personally enjoyed the first half of this game a good bit, but once I reached the second half I felt like there was a pretty major dip in quality, a lot of jumps from that point onward felt kinda unrewarding, uncomfortable, and annoying, and I started enjoying things much less. Still the game has some neat stuff in it, I just wish I was able to get more into it because by the end of it all I found it kinda unpleasant.

This game at this point is iconic, it was one of those games I always knew about but never played until now, and after playing it I definitely see why it's so well regarded. The way the game is structured is awesome, each stage begins with 6 normal screens before a 2x2 maze with pathing based on the gimmick of the stage. This structure is awesome, it make the game feel engaging without constantly pushing the player to think about exactly what they are doing and it's consequences for 100 rooms. The gimmicks that get introduced are nice too especially as the game goes on, I really like the cycle stage and adore the buff/debuff stage, in particular the 2x2 maze in that stage was my favorite part of the game. After that you get the wackiest stages, the screenwrap stage is pretty sick to play, the cube is super creative and I liked it more than I expected, and of course the final stage is legendary. This thing is awesome that it even exists and is definitely one of the all time best needle making feats.
The main thing that would detract from this game for me is the needle itself, there's just a lot of sections where I think the gameplay isn't super interesting to execute or it just feels a bit simple, I definitely wouldn't call it generic but this is definitely something you play for the pathing and not the raw needle. I used a guide for the final stage and for that reason the experience of playing it was a lot weaker than some of the other parts, so I think that should be something you consider when playing this. Still this game is awesome, super impressive, and deserves the status it has.
