It contains lots of gimmick(8?). But sadly speaking. most usage of them are not good, and you often encounter annoying jumps. Wouldn't recommend.

Rating based on regular mode (will talk a bit about hard mode).
I wish this game was good, because it's very pretty and it does a lot of things nearly right. But the difficulty constantly fluctuates between nearly nothing and actually hard stuff, sometimes the maker just forgets to put a save for several screens and then puts 2 nearly back to back, there's so many bad design decisions like telling you a gimmick through text and making you not use it for 10 screens then requiring it, nearly every boss has 1 thing that makes it way harder than it should be...
The puzzle that unlocks hard mode is so broken that I'm pretty sure the intended solution doesn't work but a million other solutions work so you can bruteforce it. Hard mode itself seems a lot better, but I dropped out on boss 2. The platforming is more interesting but not necessarily better (stage 2 in particular was both cool and horrible), and the bosses are a huge step up but so far both of them had a bullshit attack and they were long enough that it mattered. Might update this review if I decide to go back to it, but since it's gated behind the bad regular mode, I wouldn't change my rating.

Definitely a cool idea for a game but there a couple nagging issues the whole time which really brought the experience down, the biggest one by far being the attack with branches from the ground, I just can't see them for the life of me which made the attack feel like just guessing the timing, which was always frustrating. The hammer attack is also way faster than the others and the laser attack is sometimes literally free and sometimes really tough. The risk-reward melee combat is somewhat interesting but it mostly felt kinda repetitive, especially since the charge attack is literally worthless. Not a bad game but unfortunately one that annoyed me quite a bit.

Cute game which almost reminds me of that one stage of pastel, since all the gimmicks are based on shooting spikes, albeit these are entirely unique from that game. It's really fun to play, definitely the epitome of short but sweet.
