I expect to find some fun metroidvania-like adventure, but instead i just found endless needle vortex with very limited usage of declared gimmicks, dull and overextended screen design and not a single boss in the whole game. The only fun parts in this game abides closer to end in final stages, but even here there was massive troubles with jump balance and repetative design. Idk, very overrated and very meh imo

Some cute ideas and great visual design here, not really polished and astonishing gameplay tho, i had some fun overall, probably worth your time if you like short wacky adventures

Needle is slightly annoying at some parts, and i didn't fan of changing tileset/music every screen, while the needle remains relatively the same
Avoidance was very slow paced, crucially needed some dinamic, but overall it wasn't bad i's say
Can't really recommend this game tho. Also no penguins :(

Right when I thought "Climb the Witch's Tower" was a Needle fangame in its perfection, Vandal appeared and proved me wrong. Vandal is a Floor game, the kind of fangames that I tend to find repetitive and boring. However, this isn't a normal 50 Floors game. Wolfiexe took a lot of liberty and offers us a totally unique room adjustment. Thus, some of the floors will expand in one direction, making them bigger than the regular ones, and others will even be more than one screen long. The game also has a coherent stage disposition, with a map of the entire game available, and even some stages going through previous floors but at a different place, contributing to the game's lore.
Additionally, the production value put into this fangame is honestly quite impressive, with unique tilesets and short cinematics all along the way.
As for the gimmicks, there are a bunch of them, with some that I have never seen before, and while they are usually introduced in a stage as its main gimmick, most of them are used again in the later stages of the game.
This game is a pure masterpiece and easily goes in my top 10 of the best fangames ever created. I would recommend it to any needle enthusiast who doesn't mind gimmicks and wants to play something outside the regular "named jumps" needle games box.
