this game is a rollercoaster. it throws a lot at you and expects you to grab hold, which can be quite fun. The first screen is essentially the gateway point: get past it and you have a signed "I take all bullshit given to me by this game." It's not very fun if you need to restart.
The spike factory was probably the most solid area in the game. Just pure fun and wacky gameplay based on quite the simple idea. The Boshy reference was funny.
Anime stage was filler to me, I don't think it mattered much in the grand scheme of this game.
The mouth stage was a puzzle that shoots you in the foot if you put a piece down wrong. It's hard to grasp but kind of enjoyable.
Boss 1 was tough but kind of fun. Sometimes it felt kind of bs.
Final Castle was a pretty good build-up to the final fight despite being horrid at the water section. I do feel as if the curse was underutilized heavily though; the closest things that felt built for it were the first section where you had to figure out where you'd need to be in a couple of seconds so that you could get to the platform in time and the moving spike save where you needed to act fast while working with the curse.
The final boss was kind of rad when RNG didn't hit me in the toes. The fake-out was really good, scarily fun stuff.
...and to end it off, the clear screen felt satisfying to get to and was a nice way to end the game. Overall, I Wanna Journey Where The Wind Takes Me is a tough romp that may kick you while you're down. And just when you think it's over, it pulls out a new stunt just to knock you back down, and that's probably my favorite part about this whole fangame! Never felt that with any other fangame (Freezemind's timemachine section dedicated to this fangame doesn't count but that section is really fun and makes use of the curse gimmick throughout.). Despite this, I'm giving it a ~~four~~ five and a half since you have to put up with a LOT of it if you want to complete it and I simply can't recommend that to everyone. You can be creative, mischievous, and a little evil, but you shouldn't make the player not wanna play your game. And even when it's mischievous and a little evil, sometimes it doesn't take the idea far enough to warrant the evil mischief it gives you!

Very enjoyable flowy needle, I liked it even more than Witch's Tower, despite it being around the same difficulty (once again second to last save is the hardest of the game)
props for including the longest Umineko mashup I've ever seen in a fangame, which takes half the game size lul

Rating based on the nerfed avoidance and skipped memory game.
An interesting collab where everyone made something fundamentally different, often using creative new gimmicks that put a spin on old classics. There are also a couple screens that are more meme-y than platforming-focused, which I didn't really mind as they were, for the most part, trivial.
I think it's worth going back through the game if you found the original version to be off-putting or shied away from it on account of the mild backlash that version received.
There's a funny bug in the last stage where pausing and unpausing causes the vines to disappear.
