It is unreal that something like this exists. The CPUs have incredible AI which is mind boggling to me, I've been absolutely destroyed on a few minigames by them. I played a few rounds, some with people some with bots, and I had such a fun time with the game.
The amount of characters and maps puts recent games of the Mario Party franchise to shame, and even though there are a bit less minigames than I'd like, they are all high quality and replayable. The challenges are a fun surprise as well, for more of the tryhard fans of the minigames.
And let's not forget the online. I haven't once had a moment where someone lagged or had issues with their connection, the online is just phenomenal.
With more updates containing maps and minigames, (which happens automatically, no redownloading required I'm assuming, based on the few patches the game received), this could very well be Fangame of the Year. What a treat, thank you for making this absolute gem of a game.

In all honesty, it's completely ridiculous (complimentary) that something like this even exists. Mario Party with a fangame twist and/or coat of paint, playable online with friends or offline with CPU.

Have you and your friends always wanted to break your bonds? KingSlendy presents a new way for you to hate each other.
Start a Party is a Mario Party-inspired fangame with multiplayer functionality, a server so you don't have to provide your own, 80 achievements, 40 minigames, 20 challenges, and over 150 characters you can collect. Of course the highlight is the Party mode which works like a board game between 4 players and has 8 different boards you can use. To people without a party of 4, you can still play all of the content in the game thanks to the CPUs, thus meaning anyone can find some delight here. There is also a ton of inspiration from different fangames as well, a beautiful touch that brings everything together nicely.
This game is much better than every Mario Party to come out since the Wii, Nintendo should beg for mercy. Absolutely recommended.
