Well there are black spikes for sure.
It's nice to try different spike shapes but it feels lacking about them, something a bit more creative.
Most of the time it felt that standard jumps were displayed using them.

Pretty bad demo of a Kirby's Adventure themed fangame, created by the guy who made GB. It looks fairly nice and the Kirby enemy behaviour is nicely recreated, but unfortunately the traps are really terrible and the enemies are just kind of spammed and put into awkward spots, not to mention the fact that they are ridiculous bullet sponges. This also has like, the most scuffed water of all time.
There's some secrets but they don't do anything.
On a neat note, I think this may be the first actual fangame (as in not an engine) to use ladders and slopes. That's kinda cool.

The needle here is really cool for the most part and has been a huge inspiration for my needle style. Even the funny cycle screens were cool. The game was a fun grind once I got decent enough

Gimmick is you are never on the ground and at enough height to sit in between 2 spikes.
Basically only a double jump for the platforming, not for the boss.

A couple screens with a few traps and bees not too challenging.
There's a few fairly precise triggers though.
The fight is a simple avoidance.
The last transition can be rough depending on the bullet spread.
Fun times.

Wow, such a well-made fangame!
The needle(gimmick) part is super interesting and has a difficulty around 55. The final boss is relatively easy to beat, and has a difficulty around 35.Very suitable for those who are better at needle than avoidance and boss battles (like me).

The top right jump feels unusually more precise compared to the rest.
You can see the obstacles, fruits and fake warps, but the blocks / walls aren't always visible.

I was confused with the pathing at first, but then it made sense after a while.
