Not really a fangame as much as it is a puzzle game wearing IWBTG skin. If you played "Gaze at the Horizon" it is by the same maker, a true brainiac who seems to have a knack for producing puzzles that will make your head hurt.
The premise is matching colored keys to matching locks akin to the old "Tower of the Sorcerer", or DROD RPG, minus the monsters. There's no real platforming here, a few token jumps tossed in as jokes in a few floors, but it's just straight puzzling.
As the game goes on, new gimmicks get introduced that add layers of complexity to the rooms so by the time you reach the end you are dealing with all sorts of crazy stuff trying to unravel the rooms. I have a knack for these types of puzzles after 400+ hours of DROD RPG, and difficulty wise I found most of them to be pretty reasonable. I did get hung up in one room later in the game for a while, but the game never reaches the soul crushing level of "Gaze at the Horizon".
There is some non-English text in each room sort of what you would see in NANG. Using my phone and a translate app I was able to decipher them. Most of them pretty much explain new gimmicks and give mostly useless hints, so while an English translation would be nice to have, don't be too put off by it not being there at the moment.
Having a predisposition for these types of puzzles I really enjoyed this game probably more than a lot of the other people, but it's not going to be for everyone. There's no real platforming here, no fancy avoidance to grind on, just a simple little boss at the end that is very easy in terms of fangames.
It's a brain game, pure and simple. Perception of the difficulty of this game is based on how well you handle these types of puzzles. This is a sit back and relax type of game, the music is pretty chill, and expect to spend the better part of 7-8 hours unraveling the rooms up to 100.

An almost satisfactory experience. Every review of a neon game by Thenader2 will almost always contain the same terms:
-Creative jumps
-Appealing visual design
-Excellent, pumped-up soundtrack (this is my favorite after I Wanna Be The Neon)
-DotKid sections
The latter point is a detriment to the rating, since I have never liked that gimmick, but at least there are 5 screens out of 50 in total containing it, and the screens weren't so bad, so nice move there.
I must highlight the difficulty. Even if there are only 50 screens, the curve is quite merciless. I didn't suffer as much as in Neonize the Needle (that little bastard gave me exactly 10,000 deaths during my first playthrough) and here I didn't even have the third part of that amount, but the game felt lengthy due to its difficulty. Particularly memorable for me were screens 45 and 49. 50 not so much. There is that infamous section where you must fall off a platform from the right and quickly sidetrack a pink pyramid through the left. The solution is simple: you just need to align yourself with the upper green wall and you're good to go, because timing will be less challenging.
Overall, it is in the Top 3 of his standalone games. Screens and jumps are memorable, and the song during screens 21 to 30 was my favorite! I will be listening to that quite often: best music choice since Alloud for I Wanna Be The Neon.
Recommended.

Colorize the needle? Get outta here, this is another NEON game. Out of the bunch of Thenader's deliveries, this is my favorite so far, not necessarily my favorite soundtrack, not necessarily the most satisfactory in terms of going through a needle "adventure", and not quite a fan of the reversed gravity gimmicks, but overall, this is a memorable visual treat. The difficulty curve, again, is a mess (particularly here, where the infamous "X" trigger room lies right in the middle of the game), and the last screen is among the easiest ones. It is quite anticlimactic
Nevertheless, audiovisually, he always delivers and constantly makes me smile. And more if you have no DotKid sections.

Thenader2 shows himself as an apprentice of the legacy that Go Across the Rainbow left behind and applies his own trademarks, which you already know: creative, non-standard, jumps, excellent visual design and a soundtrack to blast out loud. Even the opening title screen does not disappoint either (his title screens are pretty good). So far, this is my second favorite of his and even if Thenader2 uses the same formula over and over again, he seems to be improving over it, and it is better to become an expert of your craft than to experiment and make a mess of other genres... like I Wanna Kill Thenader2... The difficulty curve is a mess, but in average, it is an OK, challenging experience, and the lack of DotKid sections are always a plus for me.
By the way, I don't know if you noticed, but the title screen is a foreshadowing of the order of the colors you will face throughout.
