It's not a half-bad needle game. I liked some of the jumps, hated the stage 3 visuals. Stop with the stupid grid background.

The platforming was meh, its not all standard needle but nothing to exciting. He throws in traps and corner jumps here and there just for fun i guess. One area had a really difficult segment mostly cause the water in this game is SHIT. Bosses were all meh.. one area has an avoidance fight that is about 3 mins I believe but it is easy enough. Would only play if you roll it wiki streaking Kappa

The 'official' section of the game is a complete throwaway. There are only 3 screens, they're quite easy and with simple skips (iirc the third screen you can skip 75% of the screen with a ledge jump) it ends very fast. The BGM is also an abomination. The visuals are consistent and it takes a little getting used to since the spikes aren't standard solid triangles (by visual, they are by hitbox) but its easy enough to get the hang of.
That ends up being okay because I guess the extra is the actual game. Difficulty curve and save balance actually feels quite good throughout. Its quite good, varied needle that effectively uses the screen space and has more screens than the base game. The audio is replaced with actual music too!
Overall its pretty decent.

Generally solid needle game. Does everything well, but not really amazing.
Soundtrack works well. Aesthetics are good, but occasionally the foreground and background blend together. Difficulty curve is mostly solid though the winter stage is definitely all over the place and much harder than the rest and some of the save placement adds additional tediousness. Flow feels good but is ruined a little by the abrupt end with no acknowledgement.
Overall its easily recommendable but definitely has some room for polish.

This is a review based on hard mode on the new version NOW with beating extra. This is a generic needle game which has a "test jump" to start the game. It uses very basic designs which makes the game uninteresting and average at best. Also, this game doesn't have good music either except the extra stage. The save balance was all over the place and had one save that was much harder than the rest (looking at you squished t-bone). Don't bother playing on medium. There are blocks blocking the extra stage and will only be unlocked until you beat the game on hard mode. As a whole it had a few neat additions such as align markers and the use of killer blocks but that alone just doesn't make up for rest of the game. The use of cancelling will make some saves easier but not a requirement. The extra has 2 bad saves with 1 requiring a forced cancel. I wouldn't recommend playing this unless your VERY curious.

One of the best needle games I have played in a LONG time. Not only is it really fun to play, but it looks just as good, if not better. Final boss in my opinion is very insta gibby but it doesn't take away from the needle in anyway. If you like needle, you HAVE to play this. So underrated.
