It is good to see there are still good needle games being made for newer players. This game is simple, beautiful and atmospheric. I hope there will be more Rely The Needle because it is very chill and enjoyable.

So, the needle is a bit... off. The triggers don't really add anything and seem to be randomly placed, and it's overall just kinda uninspired. Whatever.
You really aren't playing this game for the few screens of needle, though. The avoidance is where the meat is. It's a decently challenging pattern boss with great aesthetics and some really satisfying attacks. The RNG collapse into the pattern attack after the first chorus can be a bit shitty, though, and final is particularly really brutal for how late into the fight it is.
I can't harp on it too much, though. Sasanoke times things so well to the music that it feels like you're dodging things to the beat. The aesthetics actually match the lyrics of the song, aswell! I really adore Sasanoke's approach to pattern and aesthetics, so i'm biased here, but even when I died to the final attack (11 times!) I never got 'bored', and this is coming from someone who really prefers RNG bosses for the most part. Anyway, yeah. Favorite.
