For: I wanna take the Timemachine
Rating based on normal mode.
Cool-looking fangame where The Kid starts in the extreme past and advances further and further towards the future as the game progresses. The platforming is good, although some saves seem a bit out of place, or just meh compared to everything else in the game. There are plenty of secrets to explore, to the point where you might get lost if you're not careful.
Like Boshy, it has a character-switching system. You can become The Guy, Solgryn, Link, Boshy and many other characters, as long as you manage to find these characters and unlock them. There's also an ez-mode with helpful blocks and weakened bosses, but I don't really recommend it, unless you're only playing this game for the K2 challenge, since it skips a lot of pattern from some bosses. And finally, there's a built-in autofire, like in Best Guy, which is perfectly useful even for people who can mash, as you'll need to use all of your focus and fingers to fight against the bosses, not to press X like crazy. You can turn off the autofire at the options if you feel like showing off, but honestly, it's more than just pointless, and will only make the game less enjoyable. If you want a bigger challenge, try Lunatic mode, it's more worth it.
The game shines at its bosses, and there are bosses scattered everywhere in this game. Mini-Bosses and Normal Bosses that keep you from progressing, Secret Bosses (Often found within a secret screen/stage) that will give you new characters, and even The Game Terminators, hidden rupees with mysterious powers, some of them being extremely strong, all of them found within a weird 'secret' point. Every single boss in Time Machine is extremely pattern-heavy and most of them are always moving at huge speeds, despite the huge size of some. The patterns are quite well-made (With some excepetions), but when the bosses are RNG-heavy, things become a bit more...Unfair. That's because, while the patterns are fair and there's always a way to escape (Easier or harder), the same doesn't happen to some of the RNG attacks. Sonic + Mario, and Solgryn, are some great examples of that, they often give impossible RNG at specific attacks, and all you can do is reset and hope that this time you get something doable.
But these bosses have more to offer than just simple pattern and RNG. They're really good-looking, and some of them use their patterns in unique ways, like Ryu, whose floor-destroying attacks will force you to think twice before coming up with an effective strategy, and Sonic + Mario, whose teamwork will force you time your jumps very well. All of that, of course, at insane speeds. Time Machine has some of the most fast-paced bosses I've seen, which is really good because nothing takes too long, something very useful when it comes to pattern-heavy bosses, so that it doesn't take you too long for no reason at all.
The only reason why it doesn't score higher is because of the unfair RNG at some bosses, and because some of the platforming could be better (And because the adventures of the Kid are to save 'her', and 'she' is only shown at the game's intro - an awesome intro, it should be mentioned -, and never again). The bosses are some of my favorite in fangames, and they're one of the best ways for a beginner to start to learn about patterns, as well as to sharpen their reflexes and timing. Highly recommended to anyone.

Short needle-ish game. Level design is bad, things are just randomly placed, difficulty curve is all over the place, the boss is generic and tedious, there's nothing really good I can recall about this game. There are one or two concepts I found to be interesting, but just the concepts, and overall this game doesn't seem to be even trying to be good. Wouldn't recommend.

Medley-ish fangame, most of its stages seem to be inspired by other fangames (And by that I mean something close to Crimson Ripoff, same tilesets and backgrounds, and even the same gimmicks sometimes, but not the same screens. With few exceptions). The bosses seem to be original, though. The traps aren't anything great, but at least they're placed in a fair way, the game hardly goes overboard with them. The bosses are basically bullet hell stuff. All of them. Some have special traits, including Idolmaster, which is an avoidance, and God, a multi-phase bullet hell, but all of them are basically RNG and some aimed attacks. Visuals are good and the musics are nice. The chosen stages are nice, as well.
The difficulty curve is all over the place, and the music restarts, but the game itself isn't bad. Would recommend.

I'm not really fond of the platforming, it has way too many generic traps, to the point where they ruin everything that could be good in the platforming, and the platforming itself is also tedious at some points. Sonic's stage (The one whose boss is Luigi, for some reason) and VVVVVV's stage are the only ones that are somewhat good (Some saves are still tedious, but at least there are decent saves at these).
At the beginning, there are two paths, each of them split into two parts, and each part has a boss. The first part has generic visuals, an the second part is themed after an old game. The boss of the first part acts like a mini-boss (There are no special effects at the beginning of the fight, their names aren't mentioned and they are really simple), and I didn't find any of the mini-bosses to be anything special. The true bosses, however, are quite well-made. Once you beat both paths, the game becomes linear, and you won't see mini-bosses anymore. There are still three bosses, though, all of them really good. One of them is a fight against Viridian and Vermillion, probably their patterns are probably the hardest patterns to learn in the game. The other one is my favorite, a mix of Device's Miku with Luigi, bringing lots of crazy effects, and it's just really good overall. The last one is your last showdown against Luigi, now Ultimate Luigi, combining powers from all the previous bosses (Aside from Device's Miku).
The platforming drags the game down a lot, but it might be worth playing for the bosses, since some of them are quite unique. Would still recommend.

Good points:-Traps always creative
-Catchy final boss music
-Remastered gimmicks

Bad points:-A little too much RNG-based
-Annoying penality areas
-Restarti- you know what I mean

Conclusion: Try it at least one time in your life before you die.

It's 1 screen of platforming with these oddly shaped needles, then an avoidance boss where some things kill you and some don't, then the end screen. Don't waste your time.

Incredibly good adventure game. It's one of the very few fangames I've played so far that I would play again lots of times just for fun. The restarting music is quite annoying, but that aside, the game is really good. There aren't many traps around, the game is mostly focused at its gimmicks, so the traps aren't very creative, but they do their job. The gimmicks, on the other hand, are really good, and some of them are quite rare to see. But the best part of the game are the items. Each boss you beat gives you an item, and the use of these items range from purely visual things, such as changing the clothes of your kid and of your blood, to the hover boots, which are extremely useful (And fun to use), once you learn how to use them effectively. The difficulty comes from random points, mainly from learning how to use Stage 1's gimmick, from the Bullet Hell mini-game at Stage 3, and from the last 2 bosses.
The bosses are extremely well-made, the visuals are very good and the musics are cool. Loses some points because of the bad english at the dialogues (Nothing that can't be understood, and at least it's in english, but it still breaks the atmosphere of the game once in a while).
This game is unique in lots of different ways, and overall a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.
