Assaulted was without any doubt a pretty good fangame for its time. However, I don't think this game aged well, and while I didn't like it a lot, but it could have been an amazing experience if it had slightly better execution.
The needle is filled with traps that, while being interesting, are often put in places I found annoying, such as the end of a save. Even though the traps in the orbit area are for the most part enjoyable, and gave me a smile, I must emphasize that nowadays, the punishment rooms are, in my opinion, not fun anymore, with their only purpose being to make you angry.
The stages themselves, if you exclude the traps, have neat ideas, and I honestly like them a lot, but I think most of the gimmicks could have been explored more, and the areas aren't long enough, making them somewhat forgettable.
As for the bosses, I appreciate the Cirno boss's concept, but the two avoidance fights seem to be focused on having good visuals rather than being fun. Most of them have you waiting a great amount of time until the next challenging pattern. Waiting patterns are unfortunately a pretty common issue with old fangames, and while I don't mind about having to learn patterns, having to stand still is, however, very unfun.
Wouldn't recomment unless you're really fond of pattern bosses.

Older game which contains a few short platforming segments but is mostly defined by two avoidances at the end. The platforming is pretty whatever, there's a few traps that are sorta funny but nothing mind blowing, also nothing terrible. The Cirno boss is extremely annoying in my opinion, and the two avoidances are both made in a style I personally hate, with slow boring standstill patterns with few exceptions and only a couple interesting attacks, It might seem harsh to judge a game so strictly because it's old, but I just do not like this style of avoidance at all and it really hurts the experience for me. Orbit is definitely much better in my opinion.

Like Shign said. 2 paths with 2 stages on each side. Each second stage ends with an avoidance. The avoidances are nice and a bit slow paced. The traps aren't too heavy which made the game all the more enjoyable.

I don't think it was difficult except for Cirno Boss.
