Assaulted was without any doubt a pretty good fangame for its time. However, I don't think this game aged well, and while I didn't like it a lot, but it could have been an amazing experience if it had slightly better execution.

The needle is filled with traps that, while being interesting, are often put in places I found annoying, such as the end of a save. Even though the traps in the orbit area are for the most part enjoyable, and gave me a smile, I must emphasize that nowadays, the punishment rooms are, in my opinion, not fun anymore, with their only purpose being to make you angry.
The stages themselves, if you exclude the traps, have neat ideas, and I honestly like them a lot, but I think most of the gimmicks could have been explored more, and the areas aren't long enough, making them somewhat forgettable.
As for the bosses, I appreciate the Cirno boss's concept, but the two avoidance fights seem to be focused on having good visuals rather than being fun. Most of them have you waiting a great amount of time until the next challenging pattern. Waiting patterns are unfortunately a pretty common issue with old fangames, and while I don't mind about having to learn patterns, having to stand still is, however, very unfun.

Wouldn't recomment unless you're really fond of pattern bosses.

Older game which contains a few short platforming segments but is mostly defined by two avoidances at the end. The platforming is pretty whatever, there's a few traps that are sorta funny but nothing mind blowing, also nothing terrible. The Cirno boss is extremely annoying in my opinion, and the two avoidances are both made in a style I personally hate, with slow boring standstill patterns with few exceptions and only a couple interesting attacks, It might seem harsh to judge a game so strictly because it's old, but I just do not like this style of avoidance at all and it really hurts the experience for me. Orbit is definitely much better in my opinion.

Like Shign said. 2 paths with 2 stages on each side. Each second stage ends with an avoidance. The avoidances are nice and a bit slow paced. The traps aren't too heavy which made the game all the more enjoyable.

I don't think it was difficult except for Cirno Boss.

I really liked the main stages and bosses, but the avoidance was not my thing. It's kinda fair because the cherry movement is fixed, but for me it was too long and wretched(especially the 20 second intro that I can't skip.

Assaulted is a short collab between Tsuta and Dagger, which if you're familiar with any of their other games might give you a good idea of what to expect here. It features a mix of traps, standard platforming, avoidances and some shaky gimmicks here and there, but overall it's a fairly fun game if you're open to all of the above.

The left path features a retro-game style platforming section by Tsuta, which is kinda interesting. You chase a blue car around whilst being chased by red cars and picking up flags to extend your phase time. The design is actually kinda fun, although it definitely leads itself to a bit of frustration. This is followed up by a short platforming segment by Dagger which is okay until the spotlight gimmick sets in, where it becomes more annoying than interesting. This path is concluded with a Dagger avoidance, set to a very nice song and pretty visuals. The difficulty is lower than that of the other route too and none of the patterns are too intense to learn.

The right path starts with a trap segment by Dagger. There are some pretty amusing traps and clever workarounds to them, which is also rounded off by a very...unique boss. If you're a Cirno fan then you might have a good time. From here, the most iconic part of Assaulted makes its appearance with Tsuta's trap stage, featuring some 5000 IQ traps and the most iconic penalty room out there. The path is then concluded with Tsuta's avoidance, which feels very reminiscent to one in Permanence 2 in both song and style. This one feels a bit harder than Dagger's on the left route, and some attacks may take a couple of attempts to find a good strat for, although nothing gets too rough or frustrating.

Starting with the left path feels like the better flow for the game in terms of difficulty curve, although if you're only interested in parts of it then the gist of it is that the left path is more gimmick/platforming based, and the right path is trap based. There's some mixed stuff, but I had a good time.
