A new favorite, and I shouldn't be surprised.

はぐれけだま is an artist. A serious one. A serious, experimental one. 8possible still remains as the most cathartic fangame experience of my life so far, so surreal and yet so close to the heart in all of its cognitive dissonance. Whereas my subjective side states that 8possible is a magnificent game and his best, my objective side insist on the fact that this is the maker's peak of fusing creativity, gimmicks, a dreamlike scenario, suspense, beauty, calmness, physical comedy and creative bosses all the way. It's an adventure like no other. This doesn't make it the best, but it does make it one of the best.

The style is unique, distinguishable from miles away, with the enemy and background sprites he used in 8possible for a dreamland state. This prolonged adventure features exceptional visuals, beginning with simple and minimalistic, and progressing with hypnotic ones, incorporating puzzles in a dreamed adventure that challenges conventionalisms. This is, literally, the spiritual sequel of 8possible, and the subtle WAKE UP! text written in the middle of the game sent chills down my spine.

Atmosphere is key here and it is achieved with so much grace. The ones that stand out for me are the diamonds stage and the cacti/rain stage with a gravity gimmick. When the stages do not shine as entirely original or convincing in their nature, an unusual, fun boss steps in to wrap the segment in an unexpected fashion.

I am a fan of a phrase that has been said to me in multiple circumstances: "It's not about getting to the goal; it's about the process of getting to it." I am paraphrasing, but Morpheus said it better in The Matrix (1999), and I quote: "There is a difference between knowing the path, and walking the path." This fangame is about walking the path, but it also rewards you with a final boss that, probably as interesting as the majority of them, as others have said, would be absolutely ordinary (and maybe dumb) if it wasn't because of the production value and sound effects. Again: atmosphere is key.

The ending almost moved me to tears, but it did shake me: it's like achieving the act of waking up from a coma which was never achieved, sadly, as the true ending of 8possible implies. The music choices are magnificent and even though the credits state it, I need to know the name of the song during the ending credits, right after the final plot scene.

This is recommended for fangame players in general that are into adventure, but the target mind is a special kind. Those looking for experimental trips and understand that fangames began to be a universe of their own a long time ago, this should be highly rewarding.

Thanks to the maker.

Edit: Thanks to sonicdv for providing the ending credits music! You're a hero.

Quite long fangame. I'm not really fond of it, but it's a very good game nevertheless. The visuals are quite good, the musics are awesome and fit very well in the game (The last boss wouldn't be even half of what it is without the right music and the right sound effects), and the moving enemies are well-animated and their moving route is very well-planned. The gimmicks are well-made and innovative, although some of them are just way too annoying. The only issue I have with this game is that some stuff feels out of place. The water bubbles in the fire stage, for instance, could use more planning, instead of floating around in a fire stage (It doesn't make sense, and it doesn't even look good). Or the glass stage at the beginning, with the bouncing cherries (Just changing their color would be already a great progress). This sort of stuff simply ruins the game visually. The difficulty curve doesn't help much, being all over the place. There are some long segments that just aren't fun, and some tedious gimmicks, so I wouldn't say that this game scores very high on the gameplay.
That being said, it's still a good game. Would recommend, maybe.

A very lengthy fangame with a very unique style to it. A lot of custom spriting really gives this game its own personality. Each stage has a very different look to it and theme. The bosses are interesting but not too hard. The final boss is quite an epic end to what is an epic game. Well worth playing overall. Newer and lower skilled players should be able to make it through this one with a little effort, and seasoned players shouldn't have much trouble. Highly recommended.

From the maker of 8possible, I honestly expected something I truly hate. I avoided this game for a while but since it's in the FSR challenge, I thought it would be a good opportunity to try it.
Then what do we have? Well, a weird game for sure. It has a very unique style either in visuals and level design. The first thing you will notice in the game is the very cool animations and srpites for the enemies.
Do I like this game? At first glance, I thought no because the first area is borring and same for the left areas of the first hub. I was starting to lose hope but finally come across good shit, the right areas being incredibly fun. For the bosses, they are as good as theeir respective area so the left bosses were borring, and the right ones were cool. After the first hub and another area, you get into a second hub with 3 areas this time. The diamand area is one of the best thing I have played in any fangame, the concept is cool and visuals are neat. The bottom area is also quite enjoyable. The fire area is more decent than good, but I have to mention that it has one of the most hilarous trap among all the fangames I have played. The bosses were a bit worse this time, with the diamand boss being the only good one, the fire one being very messy and the b/w one uninteresting. After that, there is an area that kinda use every gimmick introduced before and then come the final boss. He's quite epic, a bit learny (expect to die to many attacks at least once) but once you know everything about it, it becomes not that hard and very satisfying to beat.

In overall, I found myself very surprised to enjoy this game that much. It has a lot of unique ideas, and even if they are very hit or miss you will surely find something you like in.
