Well, although ooparts 1 and 2 was a disaster, but they were my first projects.
And what do you do when a fangame is a disaster? make a sequel that is good enough to be not a disaster.
that's what I did.

OOPARTS III is the third iteration of the OOPARTS series. Just like OOPARTS 2 it barrows a lot of assets and ideas from OOPARTS 1, however unlike OOPARTS 2, it is not the main focus and is way better implemented. Besides using the same stuff from OOPARTS 1 it adds more custom stuff. The first half has some familiar screens and the bosses are mostly the same. The second half is all unique.
The Bosses feel more varied than in 1 and 2 with more attacks and better-fitting health amounts. Even if you don't get the secret items
There are only 2 bosses I was mixed about as they felt a bit rushed. Giygas wasn't too interesting and the bright pink wasn't very pretty on the eyes. The other boss would be Boss 9 as the attacks felt a bit too basic and it felt a few times I was getting stuck for no reason (could be a skill issue though)
The needle has me feeling mixed. When the needle is good I enjoyed it but some sections had me questioning the creator's intentions. The entire Giygas needle felt way too boring and some corners and an invert didn't feel needed.
Overall the game is pretty well made and I can see a lot of effort was put into it. It's a good reimagining/sequel of OOPARTS 1 and 2.

OOPARTS III is an adventure game featuring 10 stages, each with a boss. The stages manage to be pretty unique, with some minor gimmicks to spice up the platforming. The bosses start out pretty basic, but they get more interesting as the game goes on. The opposite can be said about the platforming, which becomes generic needle as the game gets harder. Eventually the game is just relying on corners and diagonals. The difficulty curve is pretty steep too, so you get past the interesting stuff very fast, and spend longer on the boring needle. Thankfully the bosses and avoidances are more fun at the hard end of the game, so not all hope is lost. The game ends with a really cool shmup boss, which is definitely the highlight of the game.
Overall, OOPARTS III is a tentative recommendation, as there is some really fun stuff here, particularly the final boss. However, it's buried behind the weak needle.

Based on Standard mode 100 % clear. Quite fun game with not really special design, but it was just decently enjoyable with some unobtrusive gimmicks and traps through. Bosses were highlights of the game i'd say. Secrets are pretty OP and they are not really hard to find. Secrets from second hub gives you access to extra, which concludes long and hard needle stage (not really great, since it was just buffed screens from main game, and buffs are mostly represent in form of corner jumps etc.) and true final boss, which was great barrage and probably my favourite thing in the game. Can recommend going for this boss even if you not liking extra needle. Overall, i had pretty positive experience

I really liked this more than Citadel even, something about the bosses and the stages make the game feel very unique and the gameplay never gets obnoxious! Really fun!

The game follows the common recipe of one area followed by a boss. I think it works almost everytime, and this is no exception. OOPARTS 3 has an overall great flow, from the beginning to the end, and doesn't seem to lack in production value the further you go. The main issue I had with this game is that after some time, it start to get really repetitive, since all the stages have a similar level design although they all use their main gimmick pretty well. The extra content is neat, but it's also way harder than the rest of the game, so only play it if you can endure inverts a 70 difficulty extra boss.
