I find it hard to describe why I like this game; yes, the platforming starts becoming annoying the more you progress through it, and yes, the avoidance has some dumb attacks. The thing is, the platforming just flows really well for the most part, even if simple most of the time, and the avoidance is iconic, and mostly really fun.
Whenever I replay this game, it isn't because I remember it as a good game, it's because people want to play it together or people want to race it; there is something about this game that is just asking for you to go as fast as possible.
I recommend trying it even with the rough spots it has.

the needle was fine at first, until you get to the last stages and the jumps become very annoying.
avoidance is the best thing in the game, the hardest attack is the sphere, but the rest of the boss is easy compared to the needle
