Fangame Clear #50
The first two stages really had me worried, as all of the difficulty came from pretty annoying traps and the stages themselves weren't too impressive, but by the 5th stage, I was convinced that this was a worthwhile play. Outside of a good amount of pretty bad gameplay decisions, the game itself is filled with relatively challenging needle (which outside of a few jumps and screens were relatively fun,) and simple bosses thrown into the mix. The bosses in question are fun to speedrun honestly, and are pretty well thought out!
Overall a fine play if you can squeak your way past a few garbage jumps, and the first two trap-heavy stages.

Super cute game, I always love seeing retro games referenced in fangames because it reminds me of the original IWBTG a lot, my main complaint is I sometimes feel the themes weren't used enough, particularly early in the game. A lot of this game feels like easy needle with an NES skin, the obvious exception being the Quickman stage which was my favorite. The bosses are pretty cool too, although I had a death to protoman killing me because he shot an aimed shot after he died and I couldn't move, which made me a little salty. Cute game.

A lot of creativity was spared on this game. Stage 1 seemed to set a different tone from the rest of the game (lots of trolls, non-spike based platforming), but it also had some really cool visuals as well. Gimmicks felt very smoothly implemented into the platforming - absolutely no complaints there. Not much else to say other than that it is a very solid retro-themed adventure fangame.
