Sometimes this game surely sadistic with traps/trolls, but i'd lied if i say i didn't enjoy most of them. Can't to not mention great production value and cool music. Didn't like some aspects about final save of stage 3 and final boss tho

Cool little trap game, it's got some good comedic timing and funny traps, and there's not too many long saves which didn't make it annoying or tedious. There's also some fun gameplay. The bosses are kinda annoying but overall it's a fun game :)

Darejar is an extremely difficult game to rate because parts of it are pretty fun, but some of it is quite questionable. I still believe it's an above-average fangame, but there is a load of problems I'll note most seem to have with it that I think drag it down a good bit.
For the most part, Darejar is a Trapventure fangame with a couple of stages of platforming with bosses at the end of each. There's a solid bit of variety in these stages, you'll start in the luxurious grasslands, move into a colorful factory area, and then end in a great tower; all of these areas look visually superb and have a lot of different styles of gameplay going on. A lot of the saves are actually really fun as well, Hanamogeta is definitely someone who can make interesting stuff.
But now the issues, and there are quite a few. Foremost, one of the main traps in the game is a soldier who appears like every other save and shoots at you, it's neat the first time but gets completely annoying by the fifth, and stays that way past even the tenth. One main save that causes issues is in the first stage, imagine spikes that alternate up and down on your jump, but now imagine if they were randomized so it's not consistently 1-2; this save is beyond the hardest thing in the game since it has another screen of stuff after the randomized segment that even has a flying spike tier trap at the end. My last main issue comes from the final stage, it has a trap that actually sends you back a save, kind of upsetting considering the one it sends you back to was my least favorite in that area. I'll also mention I take a bit of issue with the final boss, there's a possible moment in it where you'll be bombarded by the shooter guys and die until you discover a safe spot for them.
Overall, I can't say I would recommend it due to these issues, but it's also a somewhat decent game so if you have a high tolerance for traps then you might enjoy it.

A adventure/trap fangame with some interesting cycle-based platforming and traps, that mostly sour the experience instead of making it. Soldier traps all boil down to "get behind the block and shoot", and it's made in an interesting way only a couple of times. Each stage has at least 1 save that is way less fun than it has to be due to truly upsetting traps. The brightest example is the infamous asynchronic RNG jumpspikes screen, which I actually really liked due to how you can always read the pattern of spikes, which makes it actually pretty consistent. But the fact that there is an entire choke screen with a wild goose chase and a flyingspike trap at the end makes this save infuriating to play. Other examples are moving platform screen in stage 2 with backtracking and soldier trap in the end, and last save of the first screen of stage 3, with a trap that saves you on a previous save. However, the platforming itself, while requiring a tactical approach, is surprisingly interesting.
There is not much to say about bosses, they are all fine, but nothing to write about.
I did enjoy figuring out all the platforming and stomached all mostly meh traps, but it is probably not for everyone.
