Overall this game is a mixed bag of okay stages and bad ones. A lot of the platforming design is pretty dated and i don't think the gimmicks were used all that well. I liked the iconic dark purple stage, but even then i like the concept more then the execution. The final stage has some weird difficulty spikes and rough room design. The final boss is really questionable. It's probably one of the worst ive played, even cheesing it was annoying.

one of carua's best games to date, yet it's still not so great. the gimmicks are alright and the needle is somewhat fun (except the super F's). the main problem with this game is the final boss, where any sane person would look up the cheese strat and do it that way. I am not one of those people, as I chose to painstakingly try to beat the boss without cheesing it. It took me just under 4 hours and a whole lot of luck.
the real question is - does every single carua game have to end with a luck-based bossfight?
