despite its rather bad and simple needle design and its rather bad and simple avoidance design, COS has a surprising amount of fun to offer. it has its own thing going while still being heavily inspired by Kamileehe DP-series avoidances. it isn't quite DP-difficulty, but it comfortably falls into the difficulty bracket those games often occupy
the needle isn't interesting at all, there's a few interesting maneuvers which are somewhat unique, like the last save. there's a required dplane which isn't anything crazy but it's a bit strange to randomly include. water save and last save are the hardest ones, not much else to say here
the avoidance, however, is kind of interesting. it gives off heavy DP vibes, emulating the feel of the subgenre quite well. it's structured like any good DP-like: aimed + pattern, then RNG + aimed, a few RNG bursts in between, then a buildup, and finally the long and hectic final RNG section with a rapid speedup at the end. it's quite fun, to be fair. everything is pretty simple and readable and not a lot of luck is required. perhaps some of the curving can be a little mean (fun fact: the curving code is entirely identical to the curving code from I wanna be the Gel), but it's nothing crazy. final is surprisingly hard to read despite the rather low bullet density. this is in part due to some mild visibility issues

A screen of needle and avoidance, clearly made in reference to Kamileehe's "I Wanna Be The DP Returns" but without the "extra saves" gimmick, although I mentioned that game in the DP series in particular because that's the game this avoidance most strongly resembles.
